You should know
- Parking is available for one car. EV charging available at an additional cost.
- One dog is welcome and will be charged at a small additional cost. The garden is fenced but a determined hound might get out.
- A cot and children's cutlery and crockery is available.
- You will hear the trains go past at the bottom of the garden but it's a gentle purr.
- The main house is a B&B and you will be next to the shared garden but have your private space.
- Bikes can be rented and collected from Cyclexperience at Brockenhurst Train Station.

Whistlestop is the Rolls Royce of shepherd's huts with its own secret garden, a separate bathroom hut and a rather luxurious infrared sauna. It would be a perfect for a couple or a solo adventurer seeking some time in nature with a few luxury extras.
The main hut, located in the little secret sun-trapped garden, is modern and well-designed with cream walls creating a cosy and welcoming atmosphere. At one end you'll find a comfortable built-in double bed tucked away in its own nook made up with crisp cotton sheets and thick warm blankets where you can tuck yourself up with a good book, watch a movie on the TV or sink into a peaceful night's slumber.
The other half of the hut has a small kitchenette with a fridge, kettle and a Nespresso machine. You can arrange with the hosts to have a breakfast delivered to your door as an extra treat which you can enjoy at the table for two with the wood burner keeping you toasty on a cold morning. And if the sun is out why not dine alfresco in the secret garden at your own patio table?
When it's time for ablutions you can stroll the couple of feet over to your second hut which has been converted into a rather fancy 'privy'. This marvellous creation earned a place amongst a Chelsea Flower Show installation – only the best for you. Enjoy a long hot blast beneath the walk-in shower and make use of the complimentary Bramley products before wrapping yourself in a big fluffy robe and letting your hair dry in the sun. There is a hair dryer should you need it.
A little further along and tucked in the corner of your private idyll you'll find the infrared sauna, an absolute treat to be enjoyed at any time. Though particularly nice after a long stomp through the New Forest!
When you're ready, head out and enjoy a long walk through nature, there are some excellent biking tracks nearby that the hosts can tell you about and you'll find you're just minutes from the great outdoors. You're only 0.7 miles from Brockenhurst's lively little village where you can pick up meat from the butcher and bread from the baker. Stop off for a pint whilst you're at it.
You might like to head back and enjoy a BBQ in the garden then light the fire pit, have some marshmallows and hot chocolate for dessert and do a little star gazing.
And if you'd like to be cooked for, you can't do better than a table at the famous Pig hotel, just under two miles away, just be sure to book ahead. If you fancy the seaside you can take a 10-minute train ride to Lymington and enjoy the boat's bobbing in the harbour. The Saturday Farmer's Market is a must!
