Escape the everyday with a visit to this pretty shepherd's hut and explore the magical New Forest. Relax in the wood fired hot tub while the children play, and take in the peaceful surroundings. This larger-than-average shepherd's hut has been thoughtfully kitted out to create the perfect bolthole for families.
Guests arrive via a gravel path which leads through a pretty garden to the door of this charming corrugated iron hut. It sits amongst fields and farmland on its own private, fenced plot with an outdoor picnic table and plenty of space for youngsters to run and play.
Step inside the welcoming hut, with its bright teal tiles and wall panelling, put the kettle on and settle in for the stay. The kitchen is well-equipped for making simple dinners and features a hob, microwave and Nespresso machine. A breakfast bar, with a couple of stools, is a great place to enjoy a quiet drink once the little ones are asleep in the cute bunk beds. Top bunk dwellers can enjoy the morning view through the narrow picture window which stretches across the top of the hut.
And for grown ups, there is a snuggly double bed where they can get cosy under the duvets and blankets and wake to the sun streaming in through the window - there is a blind for those who prefer a lie-in! Take the morning coffee and pastries outside, listen to the birdsong and breath in the fresh country air.
For some extra relaxation, slide into the wood fired hot tub which features a relaxing hydromassage feature and LED lights for nighttime dips under the stars. The well-equipped outdoor area also boasts rattan furniture, a gas barbecue and a fire pit. Children will be thrilled to find a two-storey Wendy house where they can while away the hours and give grown-ups a well-earned break.
Meadow Hut is wonderfully located for easy excursions, the beach is just a 15 minute drive away, and there are many hiking, biking and horse riding trails nearby. The nearest village is pretty Sway which has four pubs to visit, a great butchers and busy village shop.

Leave a reviewWe’ve just had the most amazing weekend at the shephards hut. The kiddies loved the fun Wendy house, seeing all the horses in the stable and in the New Forest nearby. Friday night we had a fun session in the hot tub, a bbq dins&s’mores. Sat we visited the local beach; Highcliffe and had a pub lunch round the corner, followed by another hot tub session and a fire pit huddle. The hut itself is super cosy and warm, with all the essentials and more, gorgeous design inside and out. Plenty of blankets, breakfast supplies left for us, coffee and towels for the tub! We have absolutely loved every minute and can’t wait to come back! Would highly recommend. A gorgeous find! Thank you for having us. The Stamps xxxx

Me and my boyfriend just spent 7 days here and we absolutely loved it! They have thought of absolutely everything! The hut is cosy and filled with everything you could need from croissants for breakfast to a jar of marshmallows to roast on the fire! The location is really peaceful and private you have an entire field to yourself. Could see buzzards and deers running around! Only a 15 min drive from the nearest beach and 15 minutes away from burley town. Shops and pubs are a 5 min drive away. The best bit for us was the hot tub! Was perfect to relax in the evenings! The BBQ and fire pit was also an added bonus. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to anyone.

I was tasked with organising a simple birthday picnic in the forest for my partner with no hotels, no frills, no fancy restaurants and no spas. Not an easy task with 2 days notice, a broken camper van and a snow forecast!!! The weather was atrocious and meadow hut provided a divine haven for an experience that ticked all the boxes. Amanda was fantastic at communicating and helping me to ensure that my last minute plans were perfect. The hut is thoughtfully designed with great facilities and super cosy decor. The hot tub is very efficient and we had a hot tub in the sleet which added a certain Englishness to the occasion!
