Gitcombe Retreat has the real wow factor - designed by award-winning architect, Roderick James, it’s a gorgeous addition to the stunning Gitcombe Estate. With designer interiors, underfloor heating and your own private hot tub, there’s plenty to get excited about. Onsite you get to take advantage of the exclusive facilities - including two swimming pools, tennis courts and a hand-carved adventure playground. And as it’s only one of nine cottages, it’s guaranteed to be perfectly peaceful all year round.

With exquisite attention to detail, it should come as no surprise that the owners have earned themselves a "Visit England" Gold Award and a 5 Star award. Step inside to discover a vast open-plan oak-framed living, dining and kitchen area. With floor to ceiling windows, impressive oak beams and beautiful Fired Earth limestone flooring throughout, it has design flair from top to bottom. Wonderfully light and airy in summer and luxuriously cosy in winter, it’s the perfect space for friends or families to spread out in style.

The cosy lounge area has plush sofas, a flat screen TV with Sonos sound system and a handsome Morso log burner. And with vast windows and bi-fold doors, it offers the most spectacular views. Step out to enjoy the delightful wrap around oak balcony.

A large dining area that can easily seat ten leads on to the divine kitchen. With bespoke painted cabinetry, sparkling granite worktops and a large central island, it’s a wonderfully social space.

There are three double ensuite bedrooms and one twin/double room that has easy access to the luxuriously large family bathroom. All the bedrooms are effortlessly elegant with soft Farrow & Ball colour palettes, crisp white linen and beautiful textiles. The super-stylish ensuites have large walk-in showers and top-of-the range fittings. Whilst the impressively large family bathroom boasts a designer Ashton and Bentley bath.

Outside there are private gardens, a BBQ and dining area for up to ten people, and a fabulously relaxing hot tub finishes it all off perfectly.

Onsite there are glorious facilities to discover - the indoor-heated pool with sauna and steam room is a welcome oasis all year round. Whilst the sheltered outdoor pool offers up glorious views throughout the summer months. There are also championship size tennis courts, a boules court and a basketball net. For little ones of varying sizes, there’s an indoor soft-cushion play area, table football, toy shed and a hand-carved adventure playground. And if that isn’t enough, there’s also 14 acres of grounds to explore.

The local area is truly stunning with plenty of gorgeous walks and beaches within easy striking distance. The pretty towns of Totnes and Dartmouth are just a short drive away - offering up a unique slice of Devon, they’re both definitely worth exploring. And for any foodies, you’ll be pleased to hear that you’re just ten miles from the award-winning organic restaurant, Riverford Field Kitchen.
