The old meets the new in this lovingly renovated country house, all set among the backdrop of the beautiful Cornish Boconnoc Estate.
This wondrous countryside house offers the perfect getaway for small groups wanting to get away from the urban rat race and experience utter relaxation. Complete with sweeping views of the Georgian Boconnoc Estate, this stay provides some of the most stunning vistas that Cornwall has to offer. Dairy House has been conscientiously renovated so that the modern and rustic blend in perfect synergy, to give you the most comfortable stay imaginable. With its uniquely playful interior, storybook setting, and numerous on-site activities available to guests, it promises to be a stay that you will retell for years to come.
Dairy House is a renovation of the old - you guessed it - Dairy House. The exterior retains a rustic feel with its preserved grey stone brick Georgian farmhouse aesthetic. The interior gives off a quirkier air, having been whimsically designed by Sarah Fortescue (of the Fortescues of Boconnoc). Each room is eclectically decorated, with furnishings from the world over sprinkled throughout the house. Various local touches are also thrown in for good measure, ensuring that the property retains a distinctly Cornish charm. The property sleeps up to eight people spread across four bedrooms. Toiletries are supplied, Wi-Fi is available upon request, the kitchen is fully equipped, the property contains a Smart TV, and there are travel cots and highchairs for the mini guests.
The property has magnificent views of the estate, and there is plenty of outdoor furniture for al fresco dining. For those not wishing to cook, fresh produce is available to pre-order from the kitchen garden (seasonal) and there are also options for an in-house chef. Available to guests is the on-site tennis court and games room and you are free to explore the various walks and woodland trails. Walking throughout the many acres of Boconnoc one will be able to soak in the various flora and fauna that call this unique part of the world home.
Apart from the various activities available on-site, the local area is also teaming with things to see and do. The surrounding Cornish countryside is world famous for its various beaches (great for surfing), numerous hiking routes, and abundant wildlife. If you'd like to see some of the regional towns and villages then you're spoiled for choice too. Some of the nearby highlights include the local village of Lostwithiel (containing the nearest rail station), the coastal town of Looe, and the charming Bodmin. The popular tourist attraction, the Eden project, is also nearby.
Please note: minimum stay for this property is: 3 nights low season & 7 nights high season
