A short walk from the picturesque Helford River and the South West Coast Path, Boscantle is set in an idyllic location for a relaxing trip to the seaside with family or friends. This six bedroom house has a beautifully furnished interior, coastal views, over an acre of gardens and its own outdoor heated swimming pool.

The interior feels spacious with large, light-filled rooms and beautiful furnishings, there's even a grand piano in the drawing room. There are big, comfortable spaces for relaxing with friends and family, such as the snug with its big squishy sofa and armchairs and a large drawing room. This is a colourful room with beautiful green walls, bold prints on the soft furnishings and with an eclectic collection of artwork. There’s a large kitchen, fully equipped for a self catering holiday, which leads through to a bright and airy breakfast room with large windows and doors leading out onto the garden. There’s also a dining room with space for ten around the table and a wood burner.

The luxurious bedrooms are spread across the first and second floors with five double rooms equipped with sumptuous super king-size beds. Two of these rooms can be set up as twins if required and there’s another twin room which is suitable for two children. The master bedroom is located on the first floor and has a beautiful four poster super king-size bed, an ensuite shower room and views across the Helford River.

Outside, you’ll find the gardens have been designed just as carefully as the interior with manicured lawns and pretty flowers lining the sweeping driveway. There’s a large heated swimming pool with loungers and a terrace with a barbecue and dining area. You’ll find another dining terrace just off the kitchen, the perfect spot for breakfast on sunny mornings or a sundowner in the evenings.

The house is perfectly located for a relaxing Cornish holiday with the water a short stroll away and plenty to do in the local area. Follow the footpath directly across from the house to Helford Passage and you’ll find a whole range of watersports on offer, from paddleboarding to sailing. Enjoy a pub lunch at the Ferry Boat Inn with wonderful views across the river, or nip across the river on the ferry to The Shipwrights Arms. Keen golfers will be able to walk to Budock Vean golf course from the house and the beautiful Trebah and Glendurgan gardens are also within walking distance. Further afield, the bustling harbour town of Falmouth with its emerging foodie scene is only 15 minutes away by car.

We thoroughly enjoyed a very restful and relaxing stay at Boscantle. The house is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and in an idyllic location within an easy stroll of the pub and beach. We really appreciated the generosity of the owner, Jamie, both in the wonderful welcome package we received, but also in his generosity of spirit. He was kind and welcoming (not always the case when you have children and dogs in tow!) and nothing was too much trouble or seemed to phase him, which we felt was remarkable given the quality of the house. Having the housekeeper, Lorna, was really helpful to keep on top of things, and she too was kind and welcoming. We felt very at home and we are already planning a return visit. Thank you Jamie and Lorna!

It couldn’t have been a better way to spend half term with Family. Boscantle is in such an ideal location with really beautiful surroundings. We were able to walk down to the beach with young children in tow, enjoy a swim and some rock pooling before strolling for a delicious lunch at the local pub, on the water! The house is done beautifully making it very comfortable and homely too. All the Superking size beds are a winner! We felt so at home here yet so on holiday too! It’s a stunning part of Cornwall with so much to see and do, and plenty of amazing restaurants for lunches and dinners. We will definitely be going back asap! Thank you to all those that made our stay unforgettable!

Think of a luxury boutique hotel, surrounded by beautiful gardens with the added bonus of a swimming pool. Add the nicest housekeeping team and put it in walking distance of perfect Cornish pubs and beaches. Why would you book anywhere else? We loved our two week stay here. The property is so well equipped you could happily self cater and every room is Instagram worthy. Plenty of space for a large family or group of friends and the ideal spot for exploring all that Helford Passage has to offer. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful 3 week stay at Boscantle. The house is beautifully furnished with plenty of space and a very well equipped kitchen. The owners were easy to contact and always available when there was a query and the housekeeper was fantastic. The garden was really stunning and so well maintained and the pool was an added bonus. There is also plenty of parking. We really enjoyed exploring The Helford Passage both on the water and by foot and when the weather wasn’t great we went further afield in the car. There are loads of great cafes and places to eat in and around the area. It’s a beautiful part of Cornwall and extremely peaceful but not far from some of the bigger towns and villages so there’s plenty to do. Would definitely recommend.
