This luxurious group retreat in Cornwall close to the beach offers large groups a wonderful stay amidst scenic coastal beauty. Situated just 50 metres from Rock beach, this thoughtfully and beautifully designed home boasts stunning sea views and modern amenities throughout.
Gather together in the superb kitchen/dining room, which features huge sliding glass doors and a skylight that flood the space with natural light. The giant windows perfectly frame the incredible sea views and when the weather’s warm you can slide them open to step out onto your private deck.
The kitchen is nicely equipped with an abundance of work surface space and all the contemporary amenities you’ll need to prepare hearty feasts for your group during your stay. The space also features a big dining table that makes meal times a joy, however, in summer you’ll want to take your meals alfresco on the deck whilst enjoying the view. The deck also features some sun lounging chairs, should you wish to sit out in the fresh sea air with a good book.
From the deck, you can head down to the garden, which features a patio with another dining area and a nice lawn. This garden offers yet another spot from which to enjoy the amazing views.
Back inside, Tomahara’s lounge is a cosy space where you can gather together after dinner. Throw some logs on the wood-burning fireplace and socialise long into the night.
When bedtime beckons, the ground floor is home to four south-facing bedrooms, three of which open out onto the terrace. There are also three modern shower rooms on this level, one of which features a bath. There are two further bedrooms on the first floor. The bedrooms all feature super-comfy beds with some offering yet more incredible sea views.
Whilst your stunning home is a tranquil space to relax and unwind, you’re also just 50 metres from Rock beach. Head here for an afternoon on the sand enjoying beach games and a picnic, or venture further for fabulous walks. You can also enjoy some fishing, along with waterskiing, paddle boarding and sailing on the water.
Yet more beautiful beaches across the estuary can be reached by ferry or water taxi, with coastal walks extending to the headlands. Polzeath, a mile away, offers surf lessons for all levels at Surfs Up and Wavehunters Surf Schools. Sea fishing charters for bass, mackerel and tope are available from Optimus Prime in Rock.
The Mariners, is one of the top restaurants in the area and was reopened by Paul and Emma Ainsworth, serving an incredible all-day menu. Nearby, the St Enodoc Brasserie offers a relaxed dining experience, while The Dining Room and Pityme Inn serve fine dishes and family favourites.
