The Details

This former longhouse, built centuries ago, has been lovingly restored to offer groups of up to 12 guests a charming retreat in the rolling Cornish countryside. The Farmhouse is just a short drive from the sandy beaches of Watergate Bay, Newquay, and sits on an old farm where you’ll spot a few other dwellings. Peaceful and private, The Farmhouse is ideal for big groups seeking a bit of tranquility, whilst still being close to the bustling sandy beaches of Cornwall.

The amazing south-facing garden and patio is a standout feature of The Farmhouse. Here, you’ll find a perfect spot for dining alfresco, with a dining table, lounge set, BBQ and even a sauna and hot tub, adding a touch of indulgence to your stay. The expansive garden is ideal for both children and dogs to explore and enjoy, offering ample space to unwind and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.

Stepping inside, the heart of the home is a vast 50ft open-plan living space, perfect for hosting family gatherings or dinner parties. The kitchen is equipped to a high standard, featuring a double oven, five-ring induction hob and everything you need to cook up a delicious meal. There’s also a cloakroom and a utility room with a shower, washing machine and dryer for added convenience.

Anyone who wants to kick back and relax will adore the separate cinema room. This is a cosy retreat with two comfortable sofas, a large flatscreen TV and full Sky packages, offering the perfect space to unwind after a day exploring the coast. The room also boasts high-speed fibre internet, ensuring you stay connected during your stay.

The house has been designed to make the most of its stunning surroundings, with large bi-fold patio doors opening out onto the garden, providing magnificent views over Porth Valley. In summer slide these open and stay connected to the outside, creating a perfect blend of indoor and outdoor living.

When night falls, each of the bedrooms is ensuite, offering plenty of privacy and comfort. The master bedroom is split-level and features a luxurious copper bathtub with views over the countryside where you can indulge in a relaxing soak as you gaze out at your surroundings. There is also a large double bedroom and a spacious twin room, with ample room for a cot in each room, making it an ideal choice for families.

When it comes to filling your days, there’s lots to see and do in the local area. Newquay and its surrounding area offer a wealth of activities for all interests. Explore stunning beaches like Fistral and Watergate Bay, perfect for surfing, sunbathing or coastal walks. Discover the beauty of the South West Coast Path or visit the famous Eden Project. For families, the Blue Reef Aquarium and Newquay Zoo are great spots. Enjoy scenic views at Trenance Gardens, or take a boat trip to see dolphins and seals.
