Nestled between the dramatic moors and the sparkling sea in Thurlestone (aka The South Hams), this luxurious retreat offers the ideal balance of rustic charm and modern comforts.
The heart of this farmhouse is its expansive kitchen, which flows effortlessly into an impressive double-height orangery framed by oak beams. This stunning space is a chef’s dream, featuring a four-oven Aga (guides provided for first-timers!), fully stocked fridges and a wine rack. During the warmer months, open the bi-fold doors to the Italian-inspired courtyard, where you can enjoy alfresco dining and make the most of the BBQ area.
On cooler days, stay inside and relax in the living room that has timeless charm and a multifunctional layout. From rustic furniture to soft furnishings, every element here is designed to make you feel right at home. If you fancy some peace, then the snug, with its wood-burning stove, is the ultimate place to relax, offering a warm and welcoming space to curl up with a book or watch a movie. You can also head to the reading room, stocked with books and games, and enjoy another cosy log burner for those lazy afternoons. For moments of solitude or productivity, there’s a study to catch up on work, while the private gym is equipped for those who want to stay active with cardio machines, weights, yoga gear and plenty of space to stretch.

The Master Suite is a true haven, complete with a king size bed, French furniture and a private balcony with sweeping views to Bolt Tail and Hope Cove. A peaceful king bedroom with Dartmoor views features boutique-style décor, while the Queen bedroom overlooks the front garden and has access to the spacious family bathroom. Upstairs, Thurlestone’s first art-deco bar offers stunning views across the moors to the ocean, making it the best spot to enjoy a cocktail or nightcap. In summer, open the windows to take in the stunning sunsets, and in cooler months, light the log burner for a cosy atmosphere.
The heated swimming pool is a true suntrap, set within beautifully manicured gardens, making it the perfect spot to relax on loungers and bask in the Devon sunshine.
