Lamacraft is nestled in a small hamlet between a non-working farm and private woodlands, it faces the sea and exudes an air of calm and tranquility from the moment you arrive.
The kitchen and dining area is extremely spacious and a great place to gather for a welcome drink. Ultra modern with pale counter tops and black accents, it comes fully fitted with everything you could need to prepare some wonderful meals, including an instant boiling water tap. Pop your bottles in the under-counter wine fridge, sync your phone to the built-in Sonos speakers and marvel at the sea views. There's a large kitchen island, a long breakfast bar and a dining table that sits 10 nestled right next to a wood burner for cosy atmospheric suppers.
Step through to the sun room where you can enjoy more views and unwind with a drink. You're on holiday now.
The living room is also very spacious, with two big blue comfy sofas and another log burner where everyone can get cosy and enjoy a movie night on the Smart TV, play a game of pool at the seven foot pool table or settle into the window seats and play a game of chess. The hosts have even supplied a Playstation 5 for the keen gamers among you. It's a convivial space with a mixture of modern and antique furnishings, book-laden shelves to choose from and some pleasant art on the walls.
When it's time to sleep, head upstairs where you'll find five beautifully decked out rooms of various configurations. Two of the bedrooms have sea views and the other three open to a south-facing sun terrace. There are three super-kings, a king and one twin room which is perfect for kids or friends sharing. One of the super-king beds is a zip-and-link bed that can also be configured as two twins. Two have luxurious ensuites with three sharing a family bathroom. All of the rooms have a unique style with very comfortable beds, beautifully made up with crisp linens, fluffy duvets and warm blankets. And nothing but the sound of the owls to lull you to sleep.
In the morning, head down to the kitchen and make use of the L’OR Barista Coffee Machine, that takes Nespresso Pods and has the same brewing system as the Nespresso Original. Enjoy breakfast at the bar or, if its a glorious Devon morning, head out to the rear garden where you'll find an alfresco 10-seater dining table, perfect for taking in the morning sun as you make your plans for the day. There's a charcoal BBQ if you fancy a meal outside, and a luxurious Hydropool Platinum hot tub on a raised deck from which you can watch the stars at night or take in the seaview during the day. It can get very windy so this is an excellent choice for blowing the cobwebs away! The beautiful town of Salcombe is only a few miles away and boasts some stunning sandy beaches that you can visit by ferry, by foot or by hiring your own boat.

We were a family of 9 looking for a relaxing get away and we couldn’t have asked for a better house. The whole house is beautifully decorated and the location of the house is remote but is tranquil and has the most stunning views. Can’t recommend this house enough.
