Spacious holiday home with a hot tub and party barn near Hadrian’s Wall in Northumberland.
Hidden away on a working farm in a peaceful corner of southwest Northumberland, sleeping eight adults and seven kids, this spacious holiday home is perfect for families or groups of friends. It offers a combination of relaxation and entertainment with its own hot tub and even a party barn.
Inside Fell End, you’ll find an eclectic blend of vintage and contemporary interior design creating unique living spaces. Look out for thoughtful touches like pieces by local artists, Christian Lacroix wallpaper and even a lamp made from an Ace of Spades Champagne bottle. Head outside to the garden and explore the party barn, a great place for small gatherings with a cinema area and space for games. The house is also perfectly located for exploring this part of Northumberland with scenic hikes on your doorstep, charming villages nearby and its location just half a kilometre from the Hadrian’s Wall Path.
Fell End has been beautifully designed for families and groups of friends with the open-plan kitchen and living space making up the social hub of the house. Up to 14 people can fit around the large dining table, there’s a great breakfast bar and everyone will be able to find a spot to relax on comfy sofas and cosy window seats. And if you need a moment to yourself, there’s a separate sitting room with more comfy seating, a huge TV in the stone inglenook and a desk, just in case.
You’ll find the bedrooms upstairs on the first floor, each with its own personality and offering plenty of flexibility for groups. There are two ensuite rooms with super-king size beds that can be split into singles if required. A king room and a twin are connected by a ‘jack and jill’ bathroom, creating a lovely suite for a family with young children. There's a twin room with two single beds, ideal for youngsters. There’s also a charming dorm room with three folding Z beds, which is decorated with famous figures from Hollywood.
Outside, you’ll find an enclosed courtyard patio with plenty of furniture for alfresco dining, some lovely potted plans and a luxurious hot tub. After a long walk in the countryside, this is the perfect spot to relax with a glass of something as you watch the sunset over the surrounding fields. If you need a bit of space for entertaining, the party barn features a cinema, plenty of seating, a kitchen area and even a dressing-up box for the kids.
If you fancy exploring the local area, you’ll find plenty to see and do. Footpaths and bridleways will take you out into the countryside and reward you with some spectacular views. The Hadrian’s Wall National Trail is a must for keen walkers and you’ll find the route well signposted. The area has a rich history and there are Roman sites to visit as well as the Medieval Lanercost Priory or the Victorian Wallington Hall.
