Beautiful holiday home for 10 in rural Yorkshire, with luxurious interiors and lots of outdoor space – perfect for a relaxing getaway with family or friends.
Nestled between the Yorkshire Dales and the Moors in the picturesque village of Newby Wiske, this stunning five-bedroom property is ideal for families or friends looking for a tranquil, rural retreat. Wonderfully quiet and completely private, the newly developed red-brick home sits on its own grounds, offering lots of indoor and outdoor space for guests to unwind. The property has been thoughtfully designed and beautifully finished, with care and attention put into every detail. From the premium furnishings to the striking wallpaper and stylish gallery walls, you’ll be sure to fall in love with this home away from home.
At the heart of the house is the open plan kitchen, dining and living space, where bi-folding doors lead out onto the terrace and flood the room with natural light. The kitchen is extensively equipped with state-of-the-art appliances and everything you could need up cook up a feast. A breakfast bar and large dining table (seating up to ten) await when meals are ready to be served.
There are two spacious living areas - both with sumptuous sofas and smart TVs – where guests can socialise and relax. Why not stick a movie on in the main lounge and use the adjacent sitting room for quieter chats or to share drinks, warmed by the electric fire if needed? There’s also a standalone games room, complete with pool and foosball tables, comfy seating and a selection of board games, the perfect place to keep children (and adults!) occupied and enjoy some competitive fun.
Upstairs you’ll find a roomy landing area and four delightful bedrooms. These include a master suite and a second bedroom, both with king size beds and ensuite shower rooms. There are another two sleeping quarters, one super-king double and one twin, sharing the family bathroom, which has a separate bath and walk-in shower. There is one twin room on the ground floor, which is ideal for guests with limited mobility. All rooms are fitted with luxurious bed linen, whilst fluffy towels, toiletries and hair dryers are provided in all bathrooms.
Outside the lodge is just as impressive, with a large patio and lawned areas at the front and back. The patio is a lovely spot for alfresco dining, whilst the lawns offer a place for sunbathing, yoga or a game of croquet.
Partridge Lodge couldn’t be better placed as a base from which to discover the idyllic Yorkshire countryside. Just six miles east is the North York Moors, a vast expanse of heather-covered fields, ancient woodland and rugged coastline. Ten miles west is the Yorkshire Dales, which boasts thousands of square miles of moors, valleys, hills and villages. Both are within a half-hour’s drive and offer plenty of walking and cycling routes for all abilities, as well as attractions such as Aysgarth Falls and Malham Cove. If you fancy exploring somewhere closer to home, there is a network of footpaths right on the lodge's doorstep, some leading to some great local pubs where you can reward yourselves with a well-earned pint and a bite to eat.
The charming town of Thirsk is a short drive away, with a bustling market square, independent shops and fantastic eateries serving up local produce. Harrogate is also within easy reach, famous for its tea rooms and Victorian bathhouses. You’ll also be able to tee off at some of the region's excellent golf courses or head to Ripton for a day at the races.

Leave a reviewThe 10 of us stayed at partridge lodge for my boyfriends 21st. Upon arrival they decorated the place with birthday banners and made my boyfriend a basket with loads of goodies and left a card. Sarah and Felicity were so amazing with all of the information they gave and were quick to respond to messages when i had a question. We will definitely be coming back to stay it was the best place we have ever been to as we usually do these types of things for our friends birthdays. Thank you so much we all appreciate it
