Tucked away in the breathtaking Yarrow Valley, Blackhouse Lodge is a stylish and homely retreat offering big groups a fabulous stay with incredible views. Sleeping up to 14 guests, this beautifully designed lodge boasts five elegantly appointed bedrooms in the main house, with two additional bedrooms in the adjoining annex. This marvellous home sits within an estate of over 1,000 acres and is surrounded by sweeping woodlands, heather-clad hills and a tranquil lochan.

The lodge is entirely off-grid, powered by a fully sustainable energy system and with no light pollution for miles, the night skies here are nothing short of spectacular.

Stepping inside, the lodge has a luxurious and grand design, that creates a magnificent space where you and your loved ones can socialise in style. Gather together in the spectacular 13-metre atrium, where natural light floods in through the giant wall of glass, which opens onto a tiled patio - perfect for warm-weather gatherings.

The atrium is also where you’ll find a dining table that sets the scene for sunny lunches. However, the more traditional dining room features an ornate dining table and a chandelier above, offering a lovely spot for social dinners that stretch long into the night. When it comes to preparing meals, the spacious farmhouse kitchen is the heart of the home, and is perfectly equipped for whipping up delicious feasts during your stay.

If you fancy a more cosy afternoon, head to the lounge, which exudes classic Scottish charm, with a roaring fireplace creating the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring.

Outdoor lovers will be spoiled for choice, with endless scenic spots for alfresco dining. Enjoy a cosy evening in the BBQ lodge, share a picnic by the lochan or gather around the fire pit for toasted marshmallows under the stars.

Before bed, enjoy a relaxing soak in one of the deluxe free-standing bathtubs, which offer you the chance to unwind in peace. Then, head to one of the marvellous bedrooms, all of which have been lovingly designed to provide you with a peaceful night’s slumber.

The owners work with local specialist suppliers, ensuring you can make the most of a range of unforgettable experiences for families, friends or teams, both on and off the estate. Enjoy a tailored mountain biking excursion with expert guides with high-quality bikes and essential gear provided. Immerse yourself in Scotland’s rich folklore with Graeme and Molly from Scotland's Stories, or try your hand at archery under expert instruction. For relaxation, indulge in in-lodge wellbeing treatments, or explore nature with guided wildlife experiences, perfect for all ages and groups.
