Set perched on the banks of one of the Cotswold Water Park’s lakes, At Watersedge is a spacious open plan lodge, perfect for family trips to the countryside. The home, completed in 2023, is positioned at the head of the lake, boasting expansive windows that perfectly frame breathtaking views of the shimmering water and the tranquil natural surroundings. Spend your days exploring the lakes with watersports, nature trails and fishing all on your doorstep or head out into the charming towns and villages of the Cotswolds. In the evening, relax on the deck with a drink or enjoy a dip in the hot tub while you watch the sunset over the water.

Inside the lodge, you’ll find a spacious, open plan living, kitchen and dining area with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the lake and flooding the interior with natural light. On sunny days, open up the sliding doors and extend your living space outdoors onto the deck which extends over the lake. The open plan area also includes a pool table and table tennis table, perfect for those competitive members of the family.

There’s a well-equipped kitchen with everything you’ll need for a self-catering trip. The dining space is perfectly positioned in the centre of the open plan area for enjoying the view while you tuck into dinner or you can take your meals to the seating area outside. There’s also a handy utility room and a cloakroom on the ground floor so you can easily store and wash your outdoor kit. Outside of the utility you will find an EV charger for guest convenience.

There are four bedrooms in total, comfortably accommodating up to eight guests. There’s a roomy double room on the ground floor with a luxurious king size bed with a shower and bathroom just outside the door. Head up the stairs and you’ll find a further three bedrooms, all overlooking the lake. The main bedroom has a king size bed and full-height windows with sliding doors out onto a balcony. This is the perfect spot to enjoy a coffee in the morning as the lake comes to life around you or a glass of something before dinner in the evening. The second bedroom, at the other end of the landing, mirrors the master bedroom with an ensuite and balcony overlooking the lake. The third bedroom is nestled between bedrooms one and two with views over the lake. Upstairs, there is also a separate bathroom and toilet.

When the sun is shining, head out onto the large, fully enclosed and covered deck and make the most of the beautiful surroundings. Relax in the hot tub or rustle up a BBQ while soaking up the scenery. You’ll have direct access onto the lake through a gate off the decking onto the lodge’s private pontoon for boating, kayaking or paddleboarding and you can also fish directly from the deck. At Waters Edge has its own rowing boat available for the use of guests.

There’s plenty to do in the Cotswold Water Park itself with a network of walking and cycling trails to help you explore. Along the way, keep an eye out for the many bird species that live here, or explore the waterways in a kayak or on a paddleboard. For a change of scene, head out into the rolling countryside of the Cotswolds and stroll through peaceful villages with charming architecture and independent shops and cafes. South Cerney and Cerney Wick are both within walking distance with some friendly pubs and plenty of country charm.
