This luxurious, Scandinavian-style lodge sits on the edge of a beautiful lake in rural Gloucestershire. With stylish interiors, amazing views over the water and large social spaces, Serendipity provides groups of up to eight guests a fabulous place to relax and recharge.

When the weather’s warm you and your loved ones can sit out on your private deck soaking in the sunshine by the water’s edge. Out here you’ve not only got some fabulous outdoor seating for leisurely breakfasts and evening tipples, but there’s also a deluxe jacuzzi hydrotherapy spa that seats five! This is the perfect place to enjoy an indulgent soak with a view and glass of bubbles come the evening and it's also covered, meaning you can use it in any weather.

Stepping inside, the lodge has a sleek, minimalist design and lots of space for you and your loved ones to unwind together. With porcelain-tiled flooring throughout and modern amenities, this is a property where the finish has been taken very seriously.

Get comfy in the lounge area, which has lots of seating and a wall-mounted smart TV, with access to Netflix and Amazon Prime. This means you can all gather together for a movie night or box set marathon. When it comes to meal times, the contemporary kitchen features a breakfast bar and stools, so you can sit up at the bar and keep the designated chef company whilst they work away. Budding cooks will love whipping up a hearty breakfast or delicious dinner in the kitchen, which you can then enjoy at the grand dining table which sits next to huge sliding glass doors that perfectly frame the lake views.

There’s also a handy utility room that features a washing machine and tumble dryer for added convenience.

When night draws in and you’ve spent enough time relaxing in the jacuzzi, the property has four spacious bedrooms which can comfortably accommodate eight guests. Two of the bedrooms feature lavish king size beds and ensuite bathrooms for added privacy. These rooms even come with their own covered balconies overlooking the serene lake.

The third bedroom has two zip-locked single beds that may also be configured as a super-king if needed. Ideal for those with accessibility needs, bedroom four is nicely located on the ground floor. This bedroom can either be made up as a king size bedroom or can be used as a second sitting room with a sofa and TV.

The ground floor also features a WC and shower room, perfect for changing out of wet suits and warming up. The property also boasts central heating with underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, ensuring you stay cosy and warm during the winter months.

Serendipity is also located in the middle of Cotswold Water Park, so there's lots to do right on your doorstep. There are 10 pubs, cafes and restaurants in the park as well as lots of fantastic walks. There are also lots of opportunities for watersports out on the lake.

When it comes to filling your days, you’ll be forgiven for wanting to lounge around the lodge, relaxing by the lake. However, if you wish to venture further afield, you’re nicely placed to explore the surrounding Gloucestershire countryside. Serendipity sits between the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. So you can basically head out in any direction and find some delightfully scenic walks, charming villages and cracking local pubs.

The 102-mile Cotswold Way walking trail is also a great option for nature lovers, whilst lovers of art should visit New Brewery Arts where you can watch the artists themselves in their element, mid-paint. Other attractions within driving distance include Blenheim Palace, Sudeley Castle, The National Arboretum and the historic cities of Oxford and Bath.
