Contemporary lakeside holiday home with a hot tub overlooking the water in the heart of the Cotswold Water Park, perfect for families or groups of friends.
Malachite Lodge is located in the heart of the largest wetlands nature reserve in the country, Cotswold Water Park, on the edge of one of its 180 lakes. The Lodge has been designed in a contemporary style with floor-to-ceiling windows helping you make the most of the south-facing views across the water and large, open-plan living spaces. Spend the day exploring the Water Park and the pretty Cotswold towns and villages beyond. In the evenings, sit back and relax on the deck back at Malachite Lodge with a glass of something, perhaps from the comfort of the hot tub while you soak up those spectacular views.
Step inside and you’ll immediately be drawn to the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the lake. These windows flood the open-plan living space with natural light, reflected from the water, creating a relaxing atmosphere. Enjoy the scenery as you tuck into dinner at the dining table or open the doors out onto the decking, letting in the fresh air as you relax on one of the large sofas.
There are four bedrooms in total, one on the ground floor with a luxurious king size bed and its own ensuite wetroom. You’ll find the other bedrooms upstairs, with the lodge sleeping up to eight guests. There’s a king size double room and another room that can be made up as an additional king size or two single beds. The master bedroom faces the lake and features a balcony with outdoor furniture overlooking the water.
The large deck outside is bordered by a big glass balustrade, ensuring uninterrupted views. Sit back and relax on one of the loungers or the outdoor sofa while dinner sizzles away on the BBQ. As the sun sets over the lake, enjoy the scenery from the hot tub with a glass of bubbles or a cocktail.
There’s plenty to do in Cotswold Water Park, both on and off the water. There’s a huge aqua adventure course and activities like zorbing and pedal boating near an inland beach. For a more tranquil way to explore some of the lakes, hire a kayak or a paddle board and see if you can spot some of the local wildlife, such as otters and water voles. It’s also a great place for cycling and you can hire bikes when you arrive or bring your own. For a change of scenery, head out into the Cotswolds and discover some of the beautiful towns and villages scattered throughout the countryside. The Roman town of Cirencester is nearby while Bath, Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon are all under an hour away.
Please note: minimum stay for this property is: 2 nights low season & 3 nights high season
