Bright and spacious holiday lodge perched on the banks of a lake in the Cotswolds Water Park with a hot tub out on the deck.
Perched on the edge of a lake in the Cotswolds Water Park, this newly renovated holiday lodge offers plenty of luxury while surrounded by some beautiful scenery. Relax in the open plan living space with floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over the water, or step straight out onto the large deck and get the BBQ going. After a busy day exploring the park or strolling through the streets of charming Cotswolds villages, enjoy a dip in the hot tub while the sun sets.
Step inside and you’ll be greeted by the open-plan living, kitchen and dining area. This room feels bright and spacious, thanks to the huge windows overlooking the lake with natural light reflecting off the water. The living area has a double-height ceiling and big comfy sofas where you can sit and enjoy the view or snuggle up in front of a good movie in the evenings. The underfloor heating will keep you toasty whatever the weather outside.
There’s a well-equipped contemporary kitchen with an island, creating plenty of space for everyone to get stuck in with the dinner preparations. The dining table is perfectly positioned so you can enjoy the view while you eat, or you can slide open the doors out onto the deck and use the outdoor dining furniture on sunny days.
The first of the three bedrooms is also on the ground floor with its luxurious king size bed and shower room just across the corridor. Head upstairs to find the other two bedrooms, both with their own ensuite bathrooms. One of these can be set up as a twin room or with a king size double, offering plenty of flexibility for groups and families. The other room is set overlooking the lake with a super-king size bed and its own balcony, the perfect spot to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee in the morning before heading out on the day’s adventures.
Make your way out to the main sundeck which overhangs the lake and offers direct access to the water. A kayak is available, equipped with life jackets, or you can do a spot of fishing from the deck itself. On sunny days, fire up the BBQ and enjoy lunch outdoors or simply sit back and relax in the hot tub as you soak up the stunning views.
The Cotswold Water Park is the largest wetlands nature reserve in England and you can go for walks along nature trails right from the front door. There are also plenty of water sports available on the surrounding lakes and waterways, from a peaceful morning’s fishing to exploring in kayaks, windsurfing and even wakeboarding. For a change of scene head out into the Cotswolds for a delicious pub lunch in the picturesque villages such as South Cerney, Cerney Wick and Bourton-on-the-Water.
