Contemporary holiday home, perched on the edge of one of Cotswold Water Park’s beautiful lakes with a hot tub on the private deck.
Located on the edge of one of Cotswold Water Park’s stunning lakes, Kingfisher Lodge is a contemporary holiday home, perfect for families or small groups of friends. Huge windows and the glass-fronted decking help you make the most of the fabulous views of the 28-acre lake and you can soak it all up from the comfort of the hot tub. Enjoy the many activities on offer within Cotswold Water Park, the largest wetlands nature reserve in the country, or explore some of the charming Cotswolds towns and villages nearby. In the evening, return to your lakeside hideaway and enjoy a glass of something in the hot tub while something sizzles away on the BBQ.
Kingfisher Lodge’s design has been inspired by contemporary architecture with spacious open-plan living spaces, a double-height ceiling over the lounge and huge floor-to-ceiling windows that let in plenty of natural light and help you make the most of the view. On the ground floor, you’ll find the kitchen, living and dining areas all arranged to enjoy those uninterrupted views. The wooden floors feature underfloor heating to keep you cosy in the chillier months, while you can open the sliding doors out onto the decking and let in some of the fresh air in the summer.
You’ll find one of the three bedrooms on the ground floor with a luxurious king size bed and an ensuite wetroom. The other two bedrooms are on the first floor and also have ensuite bathrooms. One of these rooms can be made up as a twin or a king size double and the master bedroom faces the lake with sliding glass doors leading out onto a private balcony.
The living space downstairs leads out onto a large deck, overhanging the lake. You can cook outside on the BBQ or relax in the hot tub, all while enjoying the view, uninterrupted by the glass balustrade. You can access the lake directly from the deck for boating or kayaking.
If you can drag yourself away from your peaceful lakeside escape, there are plenty of activities on offer in the immediate vicinity. There’s a whole range of water sports on offer at Cotswold Water Park and there’s also a huge aqua adventure course and an inland beach which always proves popular with the kids. The area is also perfect for cycling. Bring your own bikes or hire from one of the local outlets and explore the Cotswolds at your own pace. The old Roman town of Cirencester is nearby and Bath, Stratford upon Avon and Warwick Castle are all within easy reach for a day trip.
Please note: minimum stay for this property is: 2 nights low season & 3 nights high season
