The detail

The Hutte blends into its private woodland location with an exterior of local oak shingles. The reclaimed pitch pine cladding, ash flooring and oak worktops inside the hut enhance the connection to nature during your remote, off-grid holiday. The spectacular panoramic window further bridges the divide between the natural world and the luxurious interior of this remote cabin with fantastic vistas of greenery and wildlife.

Guests will be warm during chilly nights thanks to the Thermafleece insulation and double-glazed windows – which likewise guarantee staying cool under the summer sun. The thermostatic shower in the attractive marble clad wet room also makes sure that toastiness is inevitable during any exterior cold snaps. Moreover, the Jotul wood-burning stove (logs are provided) banishes even the thought of coldness in this cabin.

Spend cosy nights snuggled up on Egyptain cotton bed linen with luxurious duck feather pillows and duvets. Kickstart your day in harmony with nature – swing in a hammock as you catch up on your reading or sit down on the Hay lounge chairs to sip your morning espresso on the Iroko decking area.

The outdoor facilities on offer here are just as lavish as those indoors. Relax in the heat of the wood-fired hot tub to regenerate after a tiring day as an intrepid hiker. Then, feast on delicious pizzas using the Ooni oven, having stored your ingredients in the exceptional Yeti cool box. Alternatively, pre-order a date night hamper featuring luxury items such as local cheese and prosecco for a romantic meal under the stars.

This terrific Lake District location is an excellent opportunity to get active. There is something for everyone; from the plethora of routes over mountains and through forests for hikers and cyclists, to the peaceful lakes for wild-swimmers and kayakers. You will be enchanted and bewitched by the same rolling hills and wildlife which inspired the works of William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter as you get to know this incredible National Park. From the Hutte’s current location in the Lorton Valley, Mellbreak and Crag Hill are delightful mountains to visit for jaw-dropping views of Crummock Water and Buttermere.

The quaint Lorton village makes for a pleasant trip with a visit to the pretty church in High Lorton before heading to the pub in Low Lorton for a rejuvenating drink. Keswick and Cockermouth are both charming local towns in this northern part of the Lake District, replete with independent shops, restaurants and pubs.
