This wonderfully quirky and utterly romantic timber house is the perfect place for couples to hop off the grid, reconnect and recharge amongst the tranquil Northumberland countryside. The Nook sits surrounded by lush fields and woodland and has spectacular views from every window with not a neighbour in sight, apart from the friendly alpaca herd which reside nearby.

Built from corrugated iron and upcycled oak, guests will be enchanted from the moment they catch sight of this unique property and no less charmed when they step inside. The cosy interior promises romantic evenings relaxing by the wood burning fire, sinking into the stylish leather sofas and sipping a nice glass of wine. This lovely room echoes the decor found throughout the Nook with oak boards providing the organic frame to the stunning views through the many picture windows.

A small kitchen, with everything needed for putting together romantic suppers for two, is situated beyond the living area. There is a cute breakfast bar where guests can enjoy the lovely vistas while planning the day over a morning coffee.

During warmer days, make the most of the marvellous outside areas. On the ground level, relax on the fun swing seats. Take a nap as they sway gently in the breeze, read a book or simply watch the Alpacas go about their business. Here guests will also find bistro seating for a coffee and pastry to enjoy as the day breaks.

On the first floor level, guests find the spectacular roof terrace, where magnificent views can be enjoyed day and night. A wood-fired bath tub, big enough for two, offers the perfect evening, relaxing in the warm bubbly water, breathing in the fresh air and marvelling at the unpolluted night skies.

When it's time for bed, the deep relaxation continues. A kingsized bed, with stylish blankets and cushions, has a great quality mattress and the peaceful environment guarantees an uninterrupted slumber. At the end of the bed, a thoughtfully positioned leather sofa offers guests the upper level views but from the comfort and warmth of the Nook.

For those who like to explore, there are many interesting places nearby. The Nook is positioned in the middle of Hadrian's Wall and near to The Quarry Garden at Belsay Hall. There are many great walking trails around the Cheviot Hills and Kielder Water, both a short drive away. For great pubs, restaurants and shops, head to the historic Roman villages of Corbridge and Ponteland - don't forget to stock up on goodies from the well-stocked delis.

The Nook is perfect. Furnished to a high standard making the nook so comfortable. Great location. Great for dogs The hikki bath is luxury in the most peaceful setting. The only problem was we did not want to go out!
