Highgate Cabins offers three fabulous cabins that all blend seamlessly into the beautiful Cumbrian woodlands, offering couples or solo travellers a true taste of the great outdoors. These three luxury log cabins offer an extremely romantic retreat that provides a private outdoor decking to relax under the stars with a loved one, as well as a communal area where you can socialise with like-minded individuals around the rising flames of a fabulous fire pit.
Inside each cabin, an open-plan, L-shaped living space features floor-to-ceiling windows that allow natural light to illuminate its bright and airy design. A further sky light window allows for the morning sunshine to shine upon the cabin's modern living space and open plan kitchen, which features an electric oven and fridge with an ice box. And when the sun sets, a plush, king size bedroom awaits you with a huge comfy bed that features hidden storage space within the drawers below it. A neighbouring shower room and toilet, full of high quality toiletries, towels and two bathrobes, awaits first thing in the morning to help you refresh yourself for the day ahead.
The private decking outside each cabin offers a versatile outdoor space to not only cook on, thanks to a BBQ, but also a unique outdoor bath or hot tub to soak and unwind in once you’ve finished your meal. For couples, this is the perfect area to relax with a glass of bubbly, while for ramblers it's an inspiring place to recuperate and plan your next outdoor adventure. Bluebell and Yew Tree are the cabins that have a wood fired hot tub and Brow Wood has an outdoor bath.
Nearby, the historic market town of Penrith provides shops and a really great assortment of stunning pubs to frequent, which sit within unmistakable old stone architecture. And for the true historian, the huge imposing ruins of the famous 14th century Penrith Castle overlook the town centre from its green, grassy meadows. A little closer to the cabin, and neighbouring Ullswater offers stunning mountain scenery that surrounds England’s most beautiful lakes. 'Steamers' provide scenic lake cruises upon Ullswater way's 20-mile circular route, and a hop on/off option allows eager hikers the opportunity to scale some of the Lake Districts untouched, natural terrains.
Please note: minimum stay for this property is: 2 nights low season & 3 nights high season
