Swap the concrete and the cars for every shade of green and the sound of the breeze blowing gently through trees at this idyllic glamping cabin that sits amongst 100 acres of private farmland.
A large raised, fenced, timber deck stretches across the front of the cabin and offers the perfect vantage point to enjoy the surroundings. Settle with a morning coffee into the Airdironack chairs and enjoy the tranquility. There is nothing to distract guests but the birds feasting on the pretty red berries of the rowan tree and the sounds of the ducks quacking at the pretty pond. Breathe in the fresh, clean air and make plans for the rest of the day, whether exploring the historic area or staying put and enjoying the view from the bubbling wood fired hot tub. Pretty fairy lights are strung from the wooden pergola creating a magical atmosphere whatever the time of day or night.
Inside this cosy cabin guests will find everything they could need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It is a bright and airy space with light timber floors illuminated by pools of natural light which stream through the large windows. But, on chillier days, the wood burner soon makes the cabin a cosy and inviting place to hunker down. Curl up on the comfy sofa with a hot chocolate and a good book.
There is a well-equipped modern kitchen with a fridge, oven and gas hob and, with windows that look out across the countryside. A cute dining table with luxurious leather chairs offers a great space for romantic dinners for two. And at bedtime, a king-sized bed dressed with Egyptian cotton linens and a duck-down duvet awaits guests. Snuggle under the covers and drop off for a deep sleep interrupted only be the occasional hoot of an owl.
There are many secret areas to discover on East Farm and Northumberland is a wonderful area to explore. Historic Hadrian's Wall is dotted with fascinating sites, temples and Roman bathhouses that you can explore by foot or bike. Or head into beautiful Hexham for more history and spot of shopping too. And, when guests fancy a bite to eat, there are plenty of great places to eat and drink nearby. Favourites include the restaurant Pine, The Rat Inn and Vercelli at Hexham. The bustling city of Newcastle is also just a short drive away.
