Retreat to the woodlands of the Lake District at The Love Shack, a truly unique couples' getaway that blends luxury and sustainability seamlessly. After a day wandering the surrounding countryside, you can retire to the comfort of the bespoke wood-fired hot tub, set in a tranquil private spot beneath the trees and stars.
This unique building was built in 2009 by owners Karen and Adam. This architectural marvel of a building is beautifully nestled in to the surrounding woodland. Guests can enjoy their own private piece of the countryside, with stunning views across Lake Windermere, the woods and open fields.
After coming through the boundary gate, those staying walk down a timber walkway and through the covered porch into an open-plan living space. Here they will be greeted by a welcome tray of homemade goodies, while essentials are also supplied - including logs in the winter for the wood burning stove.
The area incorporates a seating section with flatscreen TV, DVD player, film and book library and CD player and iPod dock, modern kitchen with Corian worktops, halogen hob, combi oven, microwave and fridge, as well as a dining area and concealed washer/dryer.
Heading up the short enclosed staircase leads into the one double bedroom, with its king-size bed with organic linens, inset balcony, built-in wardrobe and views across Lake Windermere. There is also a bathroom with Japanese-style square bath and shower.
Outside is a large timber deck with fire pit and elevated hammock in warmer weather and guests can also discover the detached studio for cosy nights in on the sofa while listening to vinyl on the record player. You'll also find the wood-fired hot tub here, which offers an indulgent place to unwind with your loved one. Grab a glass of bubbly and stay warm as the stars come out above. The deck also has a Big Green Egg BBQ, which you can use to grill up some delicious local produce.
While simply relaxing and taking in the spectacular surroundings at The Love Shack is an option many choose to take, for those that want to get out and about there is also plenty to do.
Nearby Windermere can be accessed by car or ferry (which takes cars and pedestrians) which stops off near the property. As well as amenities there are also eateries, such as the elegant Samling hotel, Vinegar Jones fish and chip shop and Homeground Coffee & Kitchen.
Nearby Ulverston and Cockermouth are good for shopping and Beatrix Potter's house Hill Top can be found in Ambleside, while others may just want to head into the stunning Lake District with its many walks and views.

We welcome a pet dog and make an additional housekeeping charge for them.
