Bobbing away in the calm waters of the Yacht Haven Marina in Lymington, Tamisa is a beautifully maintained yacht, perfect for a couple’s escape by the seaside. Wake up to the sounds of the water and the marina coming to life around you before sipping a cup of coffee out on the deck. She’s a static stay and must remain in her mooring at all times, however, she’s perfectly located for exploring the charming town of Lymington and the New Forest beyond.
Step below deck and you’ll find a bright and airy cabin with big windows on all sides and a light colour palette creating a sense of space. There’s a well-equipped galley kitchen with everything you’ll need to whip up breakfast or a picnic for a day’s exploring. For everything else, you have many of Lymington’s cafes and restaurants on your doorstep, including the Haven Bar & Restaurant just a minute away where you’ll get 10% off. There’s a comfy seating area where you can relax, play board games in the evening or put a good film on the Smart TV.
On sunny days, head out to the rear deck and relax on the table and chairs where you can watch the boats come and go and spot the wildlife that visits the marina. Pour yourselves a glass of something and enjoy the beautiful sunsets over the water. When it’s time for bed, there are two bedrooms to choose from, a spacious cabin with a luxurious double bed or a cosy twin with bunk beds. Next door to the bedrooms, there’s a washroom with a shower and a loo but you can also use the marina’s onshore facilities where you’ll find showers and hairdryers.
There’s plenty of exploring to do around the marina, much of which is within walking distance. Head out along the Sea Wall Coastal Walk for some stunning sea views and bird spotting opportunities. Stroll into town and browse the High Street’s boutiques, galleries, cafes and pubs. Travel a little further afield and you’ll discover the beautiful New Forest, a haven for hikers, cyclists and nature lovers. You can also hop on a ferry over to the Isle of Wight for a day trip exploring the island’s pretty coastal towns and sandy beaches.
