The interior of Railway Cottage is modern and contemporary, yet the period charm is still intact, with the wood burner adding to the rustic feel of this beautiful cottage. Comfortably sleeping six, the cottage has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, the master bedroom being particularly impressive; with a five foot king size bed, an en-suite, and spectacular views out to the railway. The kitchen is very well equipped with all the modern amenities you should need, and the cottage also has wi-fi and a plasma TV.
If you don’t fancy doing the cooking yourself during your stay, then the helpful owners of this cottage are happy to arrange for a great caterer to provide meals so your whole party can completely relax. Alongside the catering, guests with children will be pleased to know the owners can also provide toys and accessories for babies and young children, including toys to use in the large fenced private garden, so you can enjoy the hot tub whilst any younger guests entertain themselves.
As well as the obvious attraction of the superb West Somerset Steam Railway, the local area is packed with sights, activities and great places to eat and drink that guests of all ages will enjoy. The nearby Quantock Hills mean the area is fantastic for bird watching and scenic walks as well as cycling opportunities. Other local attractions include the castle at Dunster and the caves at Cheddar and the farmers market at Taunton is well worth a visit as well, as are the great surfing beaches which are not far away either. There is a great pub a mile away from the cottage and a convenient farm shop, The Fruit and Flower Basket, located just five minutes from the cottage.
