Nestled in the pretty Cotswold village of Little Comberton and at the end of a quiet country lane, you’ll find the charming Well Furlong Cottage. Perfect for families or small groups of friends, the cottage offers plenty of peace and quiet well away from the busy everyday. It’s set within 80 acres of private land and has an indoor pool and spa attached to the building. You’ll be able to go for a swim or relax in the jacuzzi without even stepping outside. After an afternoon strolling through delightful Cotswolds villages, hiking over the Malvern Hills or perhaps enjoying a day at the races, Well Furlong Cottage is the perfect place to put your feet up and relax.
The building has been fully modernised while retaining the charm and character of a traditional Cotswold cottage. The country-style kitchen is fully-equipped to rustle up all the family favourites with a large range cooker and plenty of space. There’s a large table with room for everyone and the room becomes cosy in the evenings with the fire merrily crackling away in the background.
There are three spacious bedrooms, all with their own ensuite bathrooms. These rooms can all be made up as super-king double rooms or as twins with luxurious cotton bedding and comfy mattresses. Two of the bedrooms are under the eaves of the house and one has its own sitting area with two sofas and even some desk space should you need a quiet corner to concentrate.
The cottage has its own private garden overlooking fields and out to the countryside. Enjoy a game of croquet on the lawn before dinner, a game of tennis on the astro court or simply relax with a glass of wine on one of the loungers. You’ll have access to the spa, which is only used by guests at Well Furlong Cottage and occasionally by the owners, where you’ll find a heated indoor swimming pool and a hot tub.
The cottage is located near Cheltenham, at the foot of Brendon Hill and on the border of Worcestershire and Gloucestershire. This makes it the ideal base for visiting the Cheltenham Literary Festival or the horse racing. Keen walkers will find themselves in heaven amongst the Malvern Hills nearby and there are plenty of Cotswolds villages to explore. Stow-on-the-Wold, Broadway and Burford are particularly worth visiting and there are also some National Trust Houses nearby, such as Hanbury Hall and Croome Park.
