This beautiful home in Somerset offers groups of up to four guests a peaceful and comfy stay in a detached 16th century Grade II Listed barn. With access to a shared swimming pool and your own private hot tub, you and your loved ones will be spoiled for choice when it comes to finding ways to spend your time.
Cornflower Cottage features a cosy living room with leather sofas sitting around a wood burning fireplace. This is the ideal spot to get comfy with a glass of wine and socialise long into the night as the logs crackle in the flames. There’s also a big TV here, should you wish to indulge in a movie night or box set marathon of an evening.
You can prepare tasty meals in the stylish kitchen, which is nicely equipped with modern amenities and pretty, colourful tiles. Once you’ve prepared dinner, take it to the quaint dining area which comfortably seats four around a solid wood dining table. Or, when the sun is shining, take your meals alfresco on the patio in the fresh country air. After a hearty lunch, relax on the sun loungers on the lawn or go for a dip in your own private hot tub.
Guests staying at Cornflower Cottage also have access to a shared, indoor, heated swimming pool. Cornflower Cottage guests will have two allocated swimming pool slots each day, ensuring that you and your loved ones have the pool to yourselves for a set period of time.
After splashing around in the pool and enjoying a meal of locally sourced produce, you can retire to bed in one of the two fab bedrooms. Both spacious bedrooms feature big comfy beds and TVs. The beds are zip and link, meaning they can be arranged as twins or super-king size beds! One of the bedrooms features an ensuite bathroom and guests also have access to a family bathroom, complete with a shower over the bath. Cornflower Cottage can also accommodate a baby or infant on a camp bed if needed.
If you fancy a nice drink, there’s a cracking, local, community-owned pub a short walk away. Lovers of dramatic coastlines will also want to explore the rugged coasts of the Exmoor National Park or head South to the dramatic South Devon Jurassic Coast. Speaking of Exmoor, the National Park is home to some spectacular scenery, so bring your hiking boots and binoculars and set out for an adventure. You’re also nicely placed to visit scenic fishing villages, activity centres and even a nice zoo.
