For guests seeking a reprieve from the hectic hustle and bustle of urban life, Dove Cottage provides the perfect setting for a serene getaway. Sitting in the picturesque Welsh countryside, it benefits from a wonderful location in the scenic Snowdownia National Park. Besides its charming countryside setting, guests are invited to enjoy the newly renovated indoor heated swimming pool, a spot of table tennis, or a stroll through the estate’s wider grounds to enjoy the incredible views.
Sleeping up to four guests, Dove Cottage is ideal for couples, groups of friends and small families alike.??Dove Cottage has been beautifully decorated throughout, with eco-friendly paints and carefully chosen fittings and fixtures that exhibit an air of modernity, while keeping one eye on the past. The cottage is upside down, in that the living quarters are above the bedrooms.
Downstairs, there is a roomy double bedroom with a super king-sized bed, hand painted furniture and thoughtfully selected artwork. The twin bedroom is a real child-pleaser with its pompom-adorned lampshade and felt bunny on the wall. It has two single beds that are perfectly sized for any adults staying too. Both rooms have cushions and blankets galore.
The ground floor also houses the newly refurbished family bathroom, painted in soft blues and whites. It has a huge shower and a separate bathtub.??The upstairs living area with its vaulted timber framed ceilings and statement lights has amazing wow factor. Reclaimed wooden floors, a wood burner and cloud-like couches, make it the ultimate space to retreat to. The kitchen is fully equipped to rustle up decision meals and snacks while the hot tap means guests are only seconds away from the perfect cup of tea. There’s a large dining table for lively meals or playing board games on.
Dove Cottage has its own private outdoor space where you can spend many a blissful hour admiring the views or putting your feet up in the sunshine with a book. A charcoal BBQ means you can cook – or toast marshmallows – outside too.
The cottage shares an additional three acres with the five other properties on the estate. Guests are encouraged to walk up the hill behind the house and through the woodland to find the secret bench where they can truly admire the estate’s coastal setting.
Due to the estate’s rural setting, it offers a relaxed environment for a stress-free getaway or get-together in beautiful Wales. Free from background noise and light pollution – the area is one of only eighteen International Dark Sky Reserves in the world – you can expect a soul-enriching stay and spectacular stargazing opportunities.
