You’ll find this cosy shepherd’s hut nestled in The Llanfendigaid Estate, which is located on one of the most breathtaking stretches of Welsh coastline and situated in the midst of Snowdonia National Park. The magical estate, tucked away in the sleepy hamlet of Rhoslefain, is one of the jewels of the area and a charming retreat for romantics.
Whether you’re after a romantic rural retreat, a welcoming den with adventures on the doorstep, or a creative space to hide away in for a while, this idyllic cabin offers a relaxing space surrounded by nature. You’ll also be able to enjoy access to a shared indoor heated swimming pool, a table tennis table and three acres of glorious grounds, including a community garden to pick vegetables and herbs from. It’s sure to be a holiday you’ll never forget.
Open the doors of The Shepherd’s Hut and you’ll walk in to find a cosy retreat in calming colours with carefully chosen fixtures and fittings. The pretty lounge area comes has a roomy wraparound sofa which later transformation into a cosy sleeping nook using the pull-down bed that’s tucked away during the day. The wood burner, tucked in the corner of the room, keeps the hut deliciously warm during the colder months.
If you’re in the mood to rustle up something delicious during your stay, the compact kitchen has a hob, a microwave oven, a fridge and a kettle. The peaceful setting is perfect for BBQs and dining al fresco. Outside, you’ll find a sweet little sitting area complete with a table and chairs and one of the best views in Wales. Sit back, relax and breathe in the fresh sea air while you sip a warming drink. Or head through the woodland and seek out the secret bench where you can truly admire the estate’s coastal setting.
Sweet dreams are guaranteed beneath the gorgeously soft bed linen and blankets. After you’ve spent some time admiring the constellations through the glass roof you’ll be spellbound by the clear starry skies. The estate is a spectacular spot for stargazing as this part of the country is one of only eighteen International Dark Sky Reserves in the whole world.
The modern ensuite shower room has an invigorating power shower – perfect for a morning refresh or to warm up your bones after a long walk in the national park. There is plenty to see around the estate and in the local area. The newly renovated indoor heated swimming pool is ideal for a dip. It’s always a favourite place for guests to hang out. In addition, there are plenty of options for open water swimming nearby, whether it be in the sea, lakes or rivers. If you're into walking, cycling, fishing or paddleboarding, you’ll find plenty to do nearby. A short walk takes you to the Broadwater Lagoon which is a huge draw for birdwatchers and nature lovers alike.
