Nestled in its own secluded spot on a charming small-holding overlooking Snowdon, Fferm Fach (small farm) is a beautifully designed and handcrafted shepherd’s hut with a modern sleek interior and luxury amenities. It makes a perfect getaway for romantic couples, solo travellers, and those with a four-legged companion.
Entirely off-grid, this gorgeous escape is fully insulated with solar power and a modern composting toilet as well as good hot shower!
The interior has been cleverly designed to make the most of the available space so it feels airy and spacious. Large glass doors open up to the view of Snowdon which you can enjoy from the plush bench with its soft cushions.
A table with bench seating provides a generous amount of space to settle in for breakfast, catch up on emails or play a game of cards with a bottle of something delicious. The central wood burner can be fired up for chilly evenings in, creating a warm and cosy place to unwind.
The brilliantly designed kitchenette has everything you could need to whip up a meal which you can enjoy inside at the table or out on the beautiful, covered decking where you’ll find another table and chairs and all the glorious countryside at your disposal.
When it’s time for bed the seating area transforms into a very plush and comfy double bed. Snuggle up and enjoy a view of the stars through the skylight as you drift off. And for those who like complete darkness there’s also a convenient blackout blind.
In the morning you can enjoy a long hot shower and make use of the Faith in Nature eco friendly wash products before heading through to the kitchen and popping the kettle on the gas stove. Enjoy your morning coffee out on the deck and say hi to the curious alpacas and the sheep.
You may choose to simply lounge in the Kirami log burning hot tub and soak up the view. Or maybe curl up by the wood burner and read a book. For lunch you can make use of the gas BBQ, or if you don’t feel like cooking, you’ll have two local towns to choose from: Menai Bridge (famous for its iconic suspension bridge) and the idyllic seaside town of Beaumaris. Both are bustling havens full of restaurants, pubs, independent shops and lovely cafes. Drive down or grab a taxi and enjoy a stroll and a lavish lunch before heading back to your peaceful haven in the hills for a cold sundowner on the deck. And once the stars are out you can grab some mugs of cocoa and a bag of marshmallows and head over to the sunken fire pit in the willow garden.
