This cosy holiday cottage for eight is ideal for extended families and groups of friends looking for a peaceful getaway to Wiltshire’s glorious countryside. The traditional, red brick cottage, once the gatehouse to the neighbouring Edington Priory, has been recently refurbished and has all the modern comforts you could need for the perfect stay. You can relax and unwind around the crackling fireplace, enjoy stunning views across the Priory Orchard from the lovely garden or stroll up to the award-winning local pub for a drink and a bite to eat.

The 18th century property oozes country charm and character, with many of its original features retained. A real ‘home away from home’, it has been tastefully decorated, well-furnished and is full of unique curiosities. There’s plenty of space for the whole group to socialise in the comfy sitting room with its open stone fireplace whilst guests may also wish to relax in the cosy snug with smart TV, the latter perfect for movie nights. The kitchen is a real highlight, fully equipped with premium appliances including a fully electric AGA oven. Meals can be shared around the farmhouse dining table, with views out to the garden.

All four bedrooms are upstairs, split over two levels. They consist of three spacious queen suites and one twin bedroom. The bedrooms share two bathrooms, one with a deep bathtub and the other a marble shower. Both have heated towel rails and windows to let in the fresh country air. Outside is a large garden, where you’ll find a dining area, gas BBQ and fire pit, perfect for cooking and dining alfresco. There are also some loungers on the grassy lawn, where you can soak up some sunshine in the warmer months.

Guests staying at Orchard Cottage have access to the the Spa Barn, which offers a selection of treatments that will nurture your wellbeing in a gentle holistic way. With an extensive treatment list, ranging from tranquil body massages to wellness activities, they have treatments to suit all.

The Three Daggers pub is just a short walk from the cottage. It is renowned for serving up delicious, seasonal food and traditional beers from its own brewery. And in the summer, you can enjoy Neapolitan-style pizzas fresh out of their woodfired oven. The pub also owns a fantastic farm shop stocked full of local produce. You’ll also be ideally located for sightseeing at the Stonehenge or Westbury White Horse, hiking Salisbury Plain or visiting the many charming local towns and villages.
