Milton Farm Hideaway is perfect for solo travellers, couples on a romantic break or larger group getaways with friends and families. And, with a choice of cosy bell tents or a traditional shepherd's hut, you've got a number of options when it comes to where you'll lay your head. We are sure that you will love the tents and the hut which can all be booked individually or together for larger groups to enjoy in this versatile and sociable space.

Set within an official Dark Sky Reserve and in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, you’ll find these comfy homes in a five-acre field that is surrounded by wildflowers, woodlands and farmland. You may even get the chance to observe farming practices up close and personal depending on the time of year, making them perfect for nature lovers of all ages.

Each spacious canvas tent measures six metres in diameter, so you’ll have plenty of room for your family to hang out together. Both are already fully set up for you with a small wood-burning stove, ambient lighting, sumptuous rugs, bedding and cushions and can sleep four guests in a comfortable king size bed plus two singles. Being off-grid, there is limited heating in the tents so you are provided with hot water bottles and blankets to keep you warm and cosy at night plus battery LED lamps and flame hurricane lamps to help you find your way around the field at night.

The tents share an outdoor compost loo and shower area plus a sheltered outside kitchen with a dining table, gas stove, large cool box, open fire-pit and seating. This is the perfect spot to get together, share a meal and enjoy being at one with nature. Take advantage of the wood-fired hot tub and indulge in some star gazing while soothing your stresses away.

Will you choose Woodlands Tent which is surrounded by woodland and boasts sweeping views from the top of the hill or Dog-Rose Tent, high above the trees with its own private viewing balcony?

Maybe you’d prefer the quaint authenticity of the Shepherd’s Hut? This quirky and snug home is kept cosy by a wood-burning stove and features a well-equipped kitchenette, farmhouse sink, running water and all the essentials you’ll need for a comfortable and memorable stay. An inviting king size bed offers a restful night’s sleep with the sounds of nature around you and there is a further double bed on a mezzanine level. You’ll also have the advantage of your own ensuite shower room with a sink and compost loo.

Your private glamping site is located just outside the pretty hamlet of Milton and you’ll be spoiled for choice with the selection of things to see and do in the surrounding area. If you’re into hiking, why not walk a section of the Monarchs Way or take things a bit easier and enjoy a fun day out exploring the beautiful Wiltshire countryside by electric bike? Have a picnic by the windmill in East Knoyle or visit Old Sarum Hill Fort and Old Wardor Castle. Within a short drive you can also reach Stonehenge, Longleat Safari Park and the lovely village of Shaftesbury of Hovis advert fame.
