In the heart of the Orchardleigh Estate, a sprawling five hundred acre collection of gardens, lawns, and remarkable architecture in the heart of the Frome landscape, Elmhay Village is a suite of ten properties, available to rent as individual units or an entire package for larger parties. These properties have been painstakingly renovated with close attention paid to the original aesthetics, many parts of which date back to the twelfth century. Elmhay village comprises a broad range of cottages, farmhouses and smaller, loft-style units, making it suitable for a variety of group sizes from couples to large families.
One of the largest and most magnificent properties in the collection, Garden House is a splendid family home with accommodation for up to twelve guests between three doubles, one of which has an en suite, and two twin rooms. Garden House benefits from a comprehensive collection of amenities, full laundry room, and a well-appointed kitchen, as well as its own garden.
Also offering guests their very own garden is Garden Cottage, a comfortable and spacious house abounding in indoor and outdoor space. Sleeping seven guests between two double bedrooms (one with an en suite), a twin room and a small single, Garden Cottage has a fitted kitchen and substantial lounge, as well as a dining room, and its own private garden. Like Garden House, many elements date back to the twelfth century.
The Bell Tower is a gorgeous and unique property, comprising an enormous bedroom in a former clock tower, above comfortable and luxurious ground floor living quarters. An ideal honeymoon property, the Bell Tower also boasts a large jacuzzi bath in the en-suite bathroom.
The Clock Tower is arranged over three storeys, with the stand out feature of a family-style bedroom with a double and single bed in the former clock tower of the building itself. On the floor below, you’ll find a double room and a twin single room, each with their own en-suite bathroom, meaning this house can accommodate a full family or friend group of seven guests. The ground floor consists of a lounge, fitted kitchen, and a large dining room.
Equally stunning, The Dairy, Kent’s Cottage and The Stable are two-story lodges with full living amenities, and a double bedroom and twin singles, each with their own en-suite bathroom. Coach House has a similar layout, but also features a sofa-bed downstairs, allowing it to accommodate a further two guests.
Miss Marple’s and Hay Loft are arranged over two storeys, both with four bedrooms (two en suite) and a separate family bathroom; sleeping up to 10 guests in each property.
