Originally built in 1900 as a barn, this historic property was transformed into a stylish homestead in 2003, ideal for spending time reconnecting with family, friends or colleagues. This gorgeous country house is a wonderful place to unwind and immerse yourself in the natural world thanks to the 25 acres of grounds surrounding the property whilst also indulging in the luxuries of the high-end facilities on offer.

The huge outdoor hot tub seating 12 is truly the highlight of this property. Set in decking and overlooking enchanting vistas of rolling hills, it is the perfect place to relax in bubbles with a glass of fizz and excellent company.

This retreat also boasts a fantastic heated indoor pool with a steam room attached. Perhaps you will spend your mornings swimming lengths as sunlight streams in through the windows before heating up in the steam room. Then, pass afternoons watching the kids splash around in the pool with inflatables whilst resting in the jacuzzi.

In the mood for an alfresco meal? Gather in the fenced rear garden on the comfy outdoor seating for a delicious BBQ and toast marshmallows on the fire pit for a tasty pudding. Alternatively, rustle up a meal in the sleek, modern kitchen fully-equipped with excellent appliances to be enjoyed in the dining room. This dining room can also be transformed into a space for a corporate board meeting or an intimate, romantic wedding with theatre-style seating. Guests might also indulge in a gourmet three course dinner cooked by the talented private chef Steven Smith!

Entertainment is at your fingertips in this house – head to the games room for a humorous karaoke evening or to the cinema room to snuggle up in front of your favourite films. The living area with rustic beams and a massive L-shape sofa is also a lovely place to kick back and catch up on the latest television shows on the smart TV.

The eight bedrooms are a combination of double rooms with ensuites and shared ‘Big Brother’ style rooms – these colourfully furnished rooms are lovely, cosy places to wake up to sunlight streaming in through the windows. Next, kick off your day sipping coffee perched on a stool at the kitchen island and planning your day.

Guests might treat themselves to a yoga session, afternoon tea or a spa treatment from Holistic Home Visits (they specialise in facials and head massages) – an ideal activity for a hen party.

There are a plethora of exciting opportunities to get active in the local area with archery onsite and clay pigeon shooting down the road in Colne. Hike to Pendle Hill or along the River Calder to take in the gorgeous Lancashire countryside. You might enjoy a visit to a local historic house such as the National Trust’s Gawthorpe Hall or the art gallery and museum in Towneley Hall. For a more dynamic day out, it is just 45 minutes on the train to vibrant and bustling Manchester.
