If you’re looking for an opulent, grand retreat for large groups close to the border between England and Wales, then you should give Lingen Hall some serious consideration. This magnificent home offers huge social spaces, sprawling grounds and a fantastic outdoor swimming pool, offering groups of friends and family an exquisite place to stay.
As you approach Lingen Hall, you’ll be amazed by the surroundings. The home sits in acres of its own land nestled in the sprawling Herefordshire countryside close to the border with Herefordshire. Inside, the home is huge and grand, with high ceilings, beautiful ornate furnishings and plenty of space for you to relax and unwind.
Gather in the beautiful living room with its super-comfy sofas, roaring fireplace and big windows that perfectly frame the stunning country views. This is the ideal place to rest up with an evening tipple after a day exploring the delightful surroundings.
Budding home cooks will adore the giant kitchen, with its modern appliances and spacious kitchen island. Perch up here whilst your designated chef whips up a delicious feast. The kitchen also has a small dining table for a quick bite, however, when it comes to dining together as a group, the opulent dining room is fantastic. This space features a giant table that can seat twenty-six guests, with some comfy seating at one end around another two wood-burning fireplace.
If the sun is shining, why not enjoy meals alfresco out on your wonderful private patio. Here you can indulge in delicious lunches whilst taking in your amazing surroundings.
After lunch, you can relax by the pool on one of the sun loungers, tucking into a good book. And if you want to cool off, why not hop into the pool for an indulgent dip and swim a few lengths?
Back inside, Lingen Hall offers 13 delightful bedrooms that are all wonderfully decorated providing you with the chance to enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep. There are a total of eight king size rooms, two super-kings, one double and two twin rooms. Some of the rooms offer giant bay windows and yet more stunning views, whilst others come with desks for catching up on a bit of work during your stay. There are also 13 bathrooms, meaning you won’t have to worry about queueing for your morning shower. Some also feature lovely free-standing bathtubs so you can enjoy an indulgent soak in peace.
When it comes to filling your days you’ll be forgiven for wanting to spend time in the pool or getting comfy in one of the cosy living rooms. However, if you do want to venture out and explore, there’s lots of wonderful countryside all around you.
You're perfectly positioned to explore the stunning Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where rolling landscapes and scenic walks await. If you're up for venturing a little further, the breathtaking Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park lies just over the Welsh border, offering awe-inspiring views and endless outdoor adventures.
