Situated in the lovely Wye Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Monnington House and Cottage are wonderful properties which will appeal to large groups bringing together friends and family keen to relax, reconnect and make magical memories.

Sleeping up to 18 across two adjoining properties, this is an idyllic spot for large groups to rest and unwind in the country. Youngsters will love the abundance of space. The properties are surrounded by two acres of garden and large lawns with a football field, plus games room with pool table and table tennis so children can run, jump and play to their heart's content while adults can get on with the very grown-up business of enjoying themselves. There are two outdoor terraces, one has garden furniture to seat 20 and a Weber style BBQ for languid summer afternoons.

A property accommodating large groups needs a decent kitchen and Monnington House boasts a modern, well-equipped kitchen with a large island at its centre - ideal when pitching in to make dinner or leaning against with a glass of wine catching up with loved ones. Off-the-kitchen is an expansive dining room which features a super-long table and seating for all the guests. Patio windows offer views across the garden and underfloor heating keeps it warm all year round.

A separate sitting room and snug offer lots of space for lounging on large sofas, watching movies or just escaping for a few minutes of 'me' time. Upstairs, on the first floor there are four bedrooms, all with comfy beds (three zip-and-link super king and one twin), crisp 400 thread count Egyptian linen bedding and en suite bathroom/shower rooms. On the second floor are a further king-size and twin bedroom, one en suite and one with a separate bathroom, both with great views over the lovely gardens.

Over in Garden Cottage, there are a further three large bedrooms, all with their own en suite shower/bathroom. The cottage features a ground floor accessible bedroom with hypoallergenic bedding, suitable for asthma sufferers. There is a pretty sitting room with patio doors looking over a private terrace, which has an outdoor table and chairs for enjoying a quiet morning coffee. The kitchen has a small dining table and is equipped with the basics - suitable for breakfast and drinks only.

Within the property and its grounds there is everything guests needs for a lovely stay but there is plenty to see and do in the immediate area. The markets towns of Hereford, Hay on Wye and Presteigne are all within a 20 minute drive and offer fantastic independent shopping, farmers' markets and good places to eat. Just up the road you'll find an excellent farm shop full of local produce.

Guests can also enjoy a fun-filled day out go karting at the Hereford Raceway at nearby Weobley or try their hand at playing padel in the sports club in Hereford.

If you wish to explore on foot you can walk from the house down part of the Wye Valley Walk to Brobury Bridge and then onto the Red Lion at Bredwardine. It's a lovely walk and takes about a good hour. You're also nicely placed to enjoy other nearby walks amongst the orchards and hedgerows of rural Herefordshire, with some far views from the Malverns to the Black Mountains. You may also want to cross the river and explore the superb Moccas Park National Nature Reserve.
