Nestled within a beautiful wildflower meadow in the heart of the Wye Valley in Herefordshire, this collection of four vintage-style caravans and one barn, takes boutique glamping to a whole new level. Each of the charming caravans has its own story, lovingly restored for modern living. Surrounded by stunning countryside and views, Mad Dogs & Vintage Vans offers guests a truly unique getaway, with outdoor seating and firebowls outside each van.
There are four beautiful vans to choose from at the site: Monty, a Brockhouse military wagon dating back to World War II which sleeps up to five guests with one king and one double bed; Gertie, one of only two 1930s Cheltenham Gnus in the UK sleeps four guests in two double beds; Sybil, a hand-built van from the 1940s that sleeps four guests in two doubles; and Elsie, a classic 50s caravan that sleeps two guests in a double bed. The site is also home to an extra special barn conversion, The Hayloft, which sleeps up to six guests in style and luxury. With two double bedrooms, a twin room, and a kitchen/dining area - there's plenty of space for a relaxing break in the Hayloft. Guests also have access to a communal shower and two communal loos that are located in the shower shack.
Mad Dogs & Vintage Vans is located in the Herefordshire countryside, close to the Welsh border. With gorgeous views across the Wye Valley to the Black Mountains and Hay Bluff, this is a little slice of pure bliss that's perfect for a relaxing break to unwind. Locally, there are walks and hikes galore, making the most of the epic landscapes and terrain. Adventurers will not be disappointed! Of course, the experience here can be as action-packed or laid-back as guests would like, with many preferring to soak up the peaceful, serene surroundings, spotting wildlife and watching the sunset around a cosy fire.
