Set in nine acres of natural meadows and woodland glades in the rolling Monmouthshire countryside is Medley Meadow Glamping. Nestled between the Wye Valley and the Brecon Beacons National Park, this is a haven for those who want to get a little closer to nature.

The site’s safari tents sleep up to six people and are the perfect solution for those who want the camping experience, while maintaining home comforts and touches of luxury. The outer shell is canvas, while there is a large timber deck underfoot and wooden interior walls.

Inside is divided into four main sections, with guests stepping into the expansive living space. The kitchen is well equipped with a two-burner gas hob, fridge with freezer, and all the cutlery and crockery needed. There is also an extendable dining table and chairs, as well as a comfy sofa bed sleeping two people, wood burning stove, and soft rugs in the seating area.

Leading off this room are two separate bedrooms, one of which is a double and the other is a twin. Bedding is provided, as are soft wool blankets to ensure everyone staying stays cosy and warm whatever the weather is like outside. Finally, the bathroom has a proper flushing toilet and a spacious hot shower.

Each safari tent has its own private outdoor area. Guests step straight out onto the large deck, with outdoor furniture and a canopy to provide the best of both worlds. There are loungers for sun worshippers, while everyone can stay out late into the night and keep warm thanks to the fire pit. This also doubles as a barbecue for creating al fresco delights, or simply toasting marshmallows.

Guests could also book the romantic Train Cabin. This quaint shepherd's hut style train cabin for two is the ideal spot for couple's looking for a comfy location for their next romantic retreat. The cabin has an open plan layout, a super-comfy double bed, and its own kitchen/diner that makes meal times a joy. There's also an en suite bathroom that has a nice hot shower and a flushing toilet. All bedding is provided at the cabin as well as lots of soft, wool blankets. The cabin even has a number of electric sockets for added convenience and cosy lighting. The kitchen has plenty of amenities including a two ring induction hob, a fridge with freezer, and all the cutlery, crockery, pots and pans, utensils and other bits and bobs you'll need. There's also a barbecue set included, meaning you can cook al fresco on the fire pit in your private garden. The garden also has outdoor dining furniture and relaxing rocking chairs. 

The surrounding area is among the most beautiful the UK has to offer and is the ideal place to relax and unwind. The Brecon Beacons with its wildlife and array of walking and cycling routes is just a 15-minute drive away. As is the historic market town of Abergavenny and several National Trust properties. Although everything is there for self-catering, for those who want to head out to eat and drink there are also a number of pubs on the doorstep.
