Fibden Farm is a wonderful place to stay, tucked away in the heart of rural Worcestershire, where you can commune with the chickens, goats, sheep and Betty the horse. It would be a memorable getaway for couples seeking a quiet retreat, a family with children or friends who are happy to share.

You'll arrive to find a working farm that welcomes you. Familiarise yourself with the animals, watch the combine harvester and the tractors going about their business, then head to your fabulous safari lodge, the most luxurious and cosy accommodation sitting adjacent to a small wood which is full of wildlife.

The lodge itself is a mix of canvas and wood, creating a cosy home in nature with a fantastic covered veranda where you can drop your bags, open the wine and settle into the comfortable sofa and armchairs and take in the rolling fields and the ever-changing sky.

The inside is spacious and well laid out with an open plan living, kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is very well kitted out and has everything you could need to whip up some excellent meals to be enjoyed at the six-seater dining table, or outside on the veranda during the summer. Tuck into the welcome pack and enjoy the treats provided! The canvas walls can be rolled up and secured so you can dine with a fabulous view and the cool summer breeze. After dinner you might like to take your drinks back out to the veranda and sit beneath the festoon lighting, or sink into the wood fired hot tub and do a little star gazing before bed.

If it's a bit chilly, batten down the hatches and snuggle up in the living area on the comfy sofa and armchairs, and play some board games with big mugs of hot chocolate. There's mains electricity and plenty of plug sockets if you want to charge your phone or plug your laptop in and catch up on your binge series of choice.

When it's time to sleep you'll find one room with a queen size bed, and one with bunks and a single, both are made up with fluffy pillows and crisp lovely linens on good quality spring mattresses!

After a splendid night of rest, hop into the rainfall shower and wake yourself up before heading through to make the first coffee of the day, which you can enjoy out on the veranda with those wonderful views. You might spot a badger, fox or deer, from the comfort of your chair.

You might choose to spend the day reading, bobbing around in the hot tub or enjoying some alfresco meals on the BBQ. Perhaps you'd like to take stroll around the farm. If you fancy a meal out you'll find The Chequers at Cutnall Green, just a short walk down the country lane, serving excellent gastro food and a wide selection of drinks.

Adults can enjoy a tour around Piston Gin or Astley vineyard and pick up some treats for home. And if you're bringing the children with you be sure to send them out to collect some freshly laid eggs for breakfast! And for an extra special treat, plan a day at West Midland Safari Park or Little Owl Farm Park – fun for everyone.
