Tucked away in the rolling countryside of Worcestershire, you'll find these three luxurious safari-style glamping lodges. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Malvern Hills, blending rural charm with plenty of modern comforts, Upsticks Glamping is the perfect spot to escape the hustle and bustle with the family. After a day exploring picturesque walking trails, pretty market towns, visiting castles or having a go at cider making, relax in your private wood-fired hot tub and watch the sunset over the surrounding countryside.
There are three lodges, Midsummer, Chase End and Ragged Stone, all beautifully furnished to provide cosy accommodation for up to six guests each. When you step inside, you'll be greeted by an open plan living and kitchen space complete with a wood burner to keep you warm on chilly evenings. When the sun is shining, you can open up the canvas front of the lodge and extend your living space out onto the covered deck, where you can enjoy your meals outdoors or simply soak up the scenery. You can cook in the kitchen or take advantage of the pizza oven and BBQ outside. Hampers can be arranged during your stay, packed with locally sourced meats, pastries for breakfast or kits including everything you'll need to rustle up homemade pizzas.
To the rear of each lodge, you'll find two bedrooms, divided off from the main living space by rustic wooden walls. Above this, is a loft area that makes a cosy hideaway under the canvas roof, perfect for the kids. Each lodge also has its own private bathroom located 20-40 metres away and accessed via a raised boardwalk. You'll find everything you'll need in the bathrooms from fluffy towels waiting on the heated rails to complimentary organic toiletries and hairdryers.
If you fancy doing a bit of exploring, there's plenty to see and do nearby. Stride off along the footpaths into the Malvern Hills or go for a walk amongst the enchanting woodlands of the Forest of Dean nearby. Hire a kayak and see it all from the water, taking your pick from the River Wye, the Avon or the Severn. Head to Eastnor to visit the castle with its stunning gardens and lake, or explore the charming market town of Ledbury with its historic Tudor-style buildings. Learn about the local cider making traditions with a trip to Westons Cider which offers great tours and tastings.
