Heronmere is a gorgeous five-bedroom house that has recently had a make-over and is the largest of the properties belonging to the famous Yeo Valley Farm. With five bedrooms sleeping up to 10 in total, this absolute gem would be perfect for a friends reunion or a big family get together. The interior is eclectically decorated and has a lot of personality, managing to be both very cool and extremely cosy and welcoming.
The living room is a deliberate delight with a long L-shaped squishy sofa that, instead of facing the TV, sits squarely in front of a huge picture window providing an absolutely stunning view of Blagdon Lake and The Mendips. It's a wonderful place to curl up with a cup of tea and day dream. And when the sun sets you can lie back and enjoy a movie night snuggled under a blanket.
The kitchen is fabulously kitsch and cosy, and it comes fully equipped with everything you could need to whip up a feast to enjoy at the dining table. Maybe finish with some espresso martinis and a game of cards before hauling yourself to one of the five unique bedrooms.
The property is surrounded by tranquil countryside promising a restful night's sleep and every bedroom is equally tempting. There are three king size beds, one super-king and one twin room ideal for kids or friends sharing. Two of the rooms have ensuites and each one is decorated with striking wallpaper, fluffy rugs, comfy thick duvets and plenty of little ornaments and doodads to keep you entertained.
There's also a large family bathroom where you can while away hours in the freestanding bathtub whilst your towel stays nice and fluffy on the heated towel rail.
On sunny mornings you might like to take your breakfast out on to the terrace and sip coffee whilst enjoying the stunning view and planning your day. There's plenty to keep you entertained. As well as being close to the lake and some lovely walks, being in the heart of the village you're close to two great pubs and a shop if you need to top up on essentials. Yeo Valley provides lots of fun activities related to their company and it's worth checking out their website before you arrive.
Yeo Valley has its own restaurant called The Canteen where you can enjoy a good meal. Or if it's a pint you fancy the Queen Adelaide will be happy to provide one. For a pint and some casual dining head to The Seymour Arms. And if you want a bit of city life you can pop into Bristol for shopping and some excellent micro breweries.
Please note that the minimum stay for this property is 2 nights
