Wake up in the wilderness in the middle of the Graveney marshes in Kent. Nagden House is a self-catered retreat situated right on a tidal creek in the Faversham area and is the perfect venue for a celebration or special occasion.
Sleeping up to 10 guests across five beautiful bedrooms, the house enjoys stunning panoramic views across the creek and marshes. Finished to a high standard, the property boasts an array of social areas to enjoy. This includes the comfortable sitting room with log burner, the cosy reading corner for quieter moments, and the cinema room with 65-inch Smart TV with Netflix, Prime, Apple TV, and Disney Plus - which also doubles as a playroom.
The large and well equipped kitchen has a range cooker and Le Creuset pans for cooking up a feast, which can then be enjoyed in the separate dining room. In here, there is a huge handmade oak table and French doors opening out onto the garden with the creekside beyond.
Upstairs there are five elegant and stylish bedrooms, all with king-size beds and superb views. The dual aspect master bedroom is a particular gem, with its Juliet balcony the perfect place to watch the sun disappear over the marshes. Both bathrooms boast double-ended roll-top freestanding baths, and separate rain head showers.
Nagden House is the ideal spot to relax and unwind whatever the time of year. In the summer, the heat invites those staying to utilise the jetty for sunbathing, jumping into the creek for a dip, or heading out paddleboarding or sailing. The orchard in the private and enclosed gardens also comes into their own with an abundance of cherries, apples, pears, apricots, and damsons. In the cooler months, take walks to the coast - which is only 15 minutes away - or chill out in the cedar-wood hot tub.
Younger guests will enjoy the World War II pillbox, which now acts as an exciting fort for kids. At the same time, the adults can enjoy a morning coffee or an alfresco meal on the creekside terrace area. Whether watching the wide array of birdlife in the day, or taking in the starry sky overhead at night, this is a truly unique location. Whitstable, Faversham and Canterbury are also close by.

Leave a reviewWe booked Nagden House for my mothers birthday celebration. We were a party of 10, 6 adults and 4 children. Darren, the property owner, was super helpful from the booking process all the way through to arrival. He provided us with tons of helpful information and guidance on local events and places to visit. The house and gardens were amazing and superbly equipped. We were lucky with the weather which meant that we could enjoy the wonderful garden and patio area. The location itself was spectacular and the sunsets were awesome. Faversham, a quaint market town, was a short and very pleasant walk from Nagden house with a busy quay that has shops and cafe's. We also visited Whitstable which was a short drive away. I would highly recommend Nagden House. We had the most delightful stay and Darren was the perfect host. Plenty of things to occupy adults and children, the latter particularly enjoyed the hot tub and the kayak and paddle board which were provided. Amazing stay! Thank you Darren!

Quite simply an amazing house in a beautiful location, perfect for adults and children alike. Our group consisted of grandparents, two sons and their families (ranging in age from 2 to 71) and was booked in celebration of two lockdown 70th birthdays. It's safe to say all 9 of us had the most fabulous stay at Nagden House. From the moment we expressed interest the communication was brilliant, no question was too small. Darren was great at making sure we were happy with everything before and after arrival, even having foil delivered when I said that was the only thing missing. I think that best summarises the trip - our one and only "complaint" was no tin foil!!! The location is simply perfect. The sunsets over the creek were amazing and so peaceful. I swam most days (freezing, but refreshing!) We brought our own paddleboards and used those supplied as well. The children used the crabbing gear and caught 23 crabs. The 5 year old loved it, the 2 year olds weren't so sure!! I have never visited a home better equipped for children. The trampoline was a huge hit, and much time was spent "making" magic spells and potions by the pine tree. The cinema room was well used, the popcorn a wonderful touch. The real bonus though was all of the toys! Next time we stay (yes we have booked again) we know we don't need to bring any toys with us at all. It was like visiting a friends home. Now for the adults... The hot tub was simply perfect, under the stars in the fresh air when the children were asleep - no better way to unwind, apart from perhaps in the beautiful bathrooms. The walk into Faversham was stunning. Next time we will bring our bikes as well. Lovely toiletries, bedding and comfortable beds - this aspect was more like staying in a luxury hotel than a holiday home. Darren and Katya have thought of everything - thank you so much. We can't wait for our next stay! Best wishes, Kevan, Cynthia, Kier, Nikita, Aurora, Scott, Gail, Arlo & Freddie Taplin

If you don't like Nagden House then there is seriously something wrong with you!!! Just perfect in every way, could not fault a thing. The situation is idyllic, hot tub, bbq, outside area amazing, toasty log burner, spotlessly clean, oh so helpful owner nothing too much trouble. Feel very lucky to be able to enjoy such a wonderful house. Lovely walks into Faversham and plenty to do in the surrounding areas
