As you climb the stairs to your front door (no rope ladder here, sorry) you will notice the ample terrace space where you can sit and enjoy the sunshine, whilst you watch the animals graze in the neighbouring fields. Entering the house you are greeted by a sophisticated octagonal living area decorated in chic creams and complimented by the various woods that adorn the treehouse. A shaker style kitchen with a beech work top is perfect for rustling up a meal, or if you don’t want to cook, caterers can be organised to do all the hard work for you. The focal point of the room is the wood burning stove, where you can sit on the leather sofa, or chic armchairs, curl up with a book and get toasty.
After a long day, perhaps spent walking in the countryside, relax your muscles with a soothing dip in the hot tub, as the sun goes down and the stars begin to sparkle in the night sky. Then climb to the top floor, into the cosy, fairy lit bedroom, snuggle down under the cotton sheets and watch the leaves sway in the wind through the triangular skylight.
The Treehouse is very close to the West Somerset Railway, you may even hear the whistles of the steam trains from the comfort of the treehouse. For a great day out, get tickets and have a steam train ride, or even just pop to the station to admire the trains. The world famous Cheddar Gorge and caves are also within reach of the treehouse. Take a cliff top walk along the gorge and enjoy the awe inspiring views, or visit one of the caves for underground waterfalls, mirror pools, glimmering stalactites and the place where Britain’s oldest skeleton was found. You are also close to the cosmopolitan city of Bristol and historic Bath, so you have plenty of options for shopping, eating and drinking. There are plenty of wonderful pubs located in the villages nearby, so be sure to take a walk, or a short drive to find your favourite.
