Romantics searching for a relaxing break in pretty countryside will adore Hill Cabin. Situated in a quiet patch of the beautiful Rother Valley, couples will love taking walks through the meadows and woodland and discovering cosy pubs before returning to the dark-stained timber cabin for star spotting from the hot tub or cuddling by the wood fired burner.
Enter the cabin and discover a host of charming touches that makes guests feel instantly at home, there is a mixture of vintage and modern, from the squishy sofa, potted plants and distressed storage trunk to the modern kitchen with its retro SMEG refrigerator.
The cute tongue and groove interior is warm and cosy in winter, yet light, bright and cool during the summer. Fling open the doors and let the outside in, listen to the birdsong and enjoy the fresh country air.
Whip up romantic meals in the kitchen area, small but perfectly well-equipped for making the most of the local produce. As well as the usual pots and pans, there is an integrated cooker and microwave, allowing guests to cook as little or as much as they like. On dark nights, light candles and settle down for supper at the shabby-chic farmhouse table and chairs which sit by patio doors that open onto the raised deck.
Outside, guests will find a pretty summerhouse that offers the chance to experience the very best of the day, from dewey sunrises to cooler after-sunset evenings. Grab a blanket, settle into an armchair and watch the bats swoop as the owls hoot. Head back inside and get comfy on the velvet sofa watching the flames flicker in the wood burner - pour a wine and make plans for the following day before retiring for a good night's sleep in the separate bedroom. There is a comfy double bed and a chest of drawers for stashing belongings.
Beyond the cabin there is plenty to fill the days. Take romantic rambles across the Rother Valley, visit historic Battle or explore the coastline at sunny Bexhill. There is also a farm shop filled with local goodies onsite so be sure to stock up on Sussex cheeses, organic fruit and veg, homemade pastries and sausages. They even sell artisan picnic boxes to keep guests fuelled while exploring the nearby trails.
