Tucked away in the picturesque countryside of East Sussex on the banks of a lake and with a backdrop of woodland, The Little Cabin offers a peaceful escape.
Enjoy lazy days sitting out on the deck, taking in the view and the peace and quiet. Stroll through the fields to the nearby village of East Hoathly where you can stock up on supplies from the shop or treat yourselves to a pub lunch. In the evenings, enjoy a sundowner out on the deck before snuggling up in front of the log burner.
Inside, the cabin is all open plan, creating a light and airy feel to the space. Rustle up meals in the well-equipped kitchen, trying not to get too distracted by the beautiful lake views through the window. Pull up a stool at the breakfast bar and tuck in, or take your plate out to the table on the deck and enjoy your meals outdoors.
When the sun is shining, the deck is the place to be with its lovely views over the lake where you can sit and watch the wildlife in and around the water. In the springtime, bluebells appear and you might be lucky enough to visit when the Canada Geese come to raise their goslings on the lake.
In the evenings, the cabin transforms into a cosy hideaway with the rustic timber walls and handmade log bedframe making the interior warm and welcoming at any time of year. Snuggle up on the sofa with a fire crackling away in the log burner while you get stuck into a good book or enjoy a film on the TV. The inviting double bed promises a great night’s sleep as you drift off to the sounds of the countryside.
If you can tear yourselves away from your peaceful lakeside retreat, there’s plenty of exploring to do in the area. Lace up your walking boots and head out onto the Weald Way or some of the other local walks that you can access directly from the cabin. The historic town of Lewes is also nearby with its charming cafes, antiques shops, great pubs and castle to visit. Glyndebourne with its beautiful gardens and famous opera house is less than 20 minutes away by car and you can also be in Brighton in about half an hour if you fancy a day by the sea.
