The Lawrence Hotel is located in the picturesque town of Padiham and the Grade II listed building has been restored to become a hot spot for accommodation, food, and events. There are 14 bespoke rooms to choose from, each with its own signature design touches. These are split into four categories - Snug, Superior, Signature, and Suite. Every room is en-suite and complete with a rainforest shower big enough for two and Temple Spa bath products. There is also a large TV and Alexa.
Both the Snug and Superior rooms have comfy double beds, while the latter also has a Nespresso coffee machine. These are present in the Superior rooms as well, which give that added bit of luxury with a king or super-king size bed and a roll top bath. Finally, the Suite is a duplex and also has a super-king bed, while the en-suite is located upstairs and boasts a roll top bath too.
A breakfast of your choice, be it a full English or something lighter, is included and there is also an array of other dining options to enjoy. As well as room service there is also an intimate and relaxed dining space known as the Courtyard Room, where dinner is available on Friday and Saturday nights. Breakfast is also served here, as is Sunday lunch and afternoon tea on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. This great English tradition is a favourite at The Lawrence and can also be enjoyed in the Green Room or Garden Room.
Padiham itself is set in the foothills of Pendle Hill and is surrounded by beautiful countryside, which is great for exploring. It is part of the Borough of Burnley and this thriving market town is also well worth a visit. Surrounded by spectacular Pennines on each side, Burnley has a great cafe culture and plenty of places to eat and drink. For history lovers, Towneley Hall and Gawthorpe Hall are both impressive, with the former situated in historic parkland. Alternatively, take a stroll along the river or a boat trip along the canal.
