The Old Workshop is part of the larger Victorian villa, Eastwood House, sitting in a stunning location on the banks of the River Tay. This studio offers a perfect private retreat for couples seeking a cosy getaway in peaceful surroundings. Refurbished to a high standard this converted studio has been thoughtfully designed to provide everything you need in one space and is a lovely place to relax and unwind.

Sitting in a beautiful elevated location alongside the stream that runs through the garden grounds, The Old Workshop benefits from big windows and a large opening screen that floods the space with morning light. The private and sheltered south-facing patio provides the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee, courtesy of the Nespresso machine, whilst enjoying the view across the rose garden and the river beyond.

The décor accentuates the calm of the place with some beautiful old pieces, like the bijou dining table for two, alongside modern seating and a lovely wood burner for cosy evenings and bottles of fine wine. The oak flooring and timber panelling bring the natural surroundings inside and provides the space with plenty of rural charm.

The space has a lovely flow and it's easy to imagine preparing a meal in the kitchen and enjoying it by candlelight before unwinding in the living area. The super king sized bed promises a deep night's slumber and the shower room is fitted with an electric power shower to blast the sleep away before exploring the local area.

Situated about half a mile from Dunkeld in Perthshire, the area is one of outstanding beauty and one of the best preserved historic towns in Scotland. There's plenty to do and see with a lively arts and music scene, quality independent shops and a plethora of wonderful pubs, cafes and restaurants. Try The Taybank pub, long known for its great music and fantastic setting, to be enjoyed with a Scottish gin or riverside beer. Spill The Beans or Palmerston's are great for cafe lunches and if you want something a bit different head the The Birnam Reader, an independent bookshop serving coffee and delicious homemade cakes. There's also a fantastic choice of outdoor pursuits including hiking, cycling, fishing and golf. However you choose to spend your time, The Old Workshop will give you a wonderful base from which to plan and explore whilst providing all the comfort and peace you could hope for.

The Old Work Shop is a gorgeous place to stay, comfy bed, stylish decor, well equipped kitchen and all the little details I look for were covered like a coffee plunger, real coffee, lovely bedding, beautiful view, a TV not dominating the space, a cosy fire, plenty of fluffy towels, both champagne and wine glasses, milk and ice waiting. The added bonus of the absolutely beautify garden and river running by which felt remote and private yet Dunkeld was so close. We are already planning our next stay. Thank you Cat.

If you could select more than 5 stars, I would! 10/10. The old workshop was perfect in every way. Each day, we went on fantastic walks before relaxing in front of the fire. Myself, my partner and our dog all had an amazing time, will be booking again! Thank you Cat for all your assistance throughout
