Nestled in nature, in a tranquil spot, this contemporary cabin is the perfect place to relax and unwind. With panoramic views of the spectacular rolling hills and a whole host of wildlife on your doorstep, you’ll really feel like you’re off the beaten track. Designed for minimal impact, using electricity powered by a wind turbine and low carbon gas, you’re a whisker away from being totally off grid, so it’s easy to slow the pace down, immerse yourself in nature and enjoy your rural retreat for two.
With its wildflower roof, mirrored panels and larch cladding, this welcoming cabin seamlessly blends into its natural surroundings. Stepping inside you’ll discover a homely space, inspired by Scandi minimalism and full of quirky design features.
The open-plan living area boasts incredible views from the huge window, with comfortable chairs perfectly positioned to make the most of the amazing vista. A wood-burner will keep you cosy on chilly evenings and there’s a small dining table for candlelit meals for two.
The unique kitchen, with its copper and brass accents, is fully equipped with everything you’ll need to prepare a hearty breakfast or rustic feast. Behind the kitchen area you’ll find the sleeping quarters where a comfortable king size bed awaits.
To access to the private bathroom, you need to go out of the front door and through the adjacent door. Inside you’ll find a proper flushing toilet, large walk-in shower and beautiful copper sink. Fluffy white robes add a touch of luxury while exposed copper pipes give the room a contemporary vibe.
Outside you’re spoilt for choice with a balcony looking up towards King’s Seat, a dramatic mountain summit and a large, south-facing deck with views across the surrounding farmland and rolling hills beyond. Here you can take a seat in a bespoke outdoor chair, handmade from whisky barrels, or fire up the hot tub for a relaxing, alfresco soak.
Whin is located on a small farm, nestled between two villages. Guests can make use of the shared facilities at the farm’s Wellness Studio, which include a wood fired sauna, light gym, tennis court, games room and croquet lawn. There are also plenty of walking routes on the farm, passing ponds and meandering through woodland, where you may catch a glimpse of deer, pheasants, hares and other wildlife. And for anyone craving a slice of city life, Perth and Dundee are just a 20-minute drive away.
