Inside this studio-style, open-plan property you’ll find a calming space flooded with natural light. Huge windows and a large bi-fold door make the most of the impressive views and really bring the outside in.
The lounge area has a couple of comfy armchairs to relax in, a dining table overlooking the pond for meals with a view and a wood-burning stove to keep you toasty. The welcoming space flows seamlessly into the kitchen area, where you’ll find everything you need to prepare a romantic meal for two.
At the back of the cabin is the tranquil sleeping space with a comfortable king size bed. From here, a door leads out onto the veranda where you can soak up the breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside while you relax in your private hot tub.
And when you want a change of scene, take a seat on the incredible viewing deck which is cantilevered over the pond to bring you even closer to nature. This covered space can be enjoyed whatever the weather and is the perfect place to spot lots of waterside wildlife, such as moorhens, mallards and herons.
The cabin also boasts a private bathroom with walk-in rain shower and proper flushing toilet.
Set within 40 acres of farmland, there’s plenty to discover on your doorstep. The owners have created endless walking paths through mature woodlands and nearby fields, with viewing platforms along the way where you can pause to admire the stunning vistas. There is also an on-site Wellness Studio, shared with other guests, where you can make use of a wood fired sauna, light gym, tennis court, games room and croquet lawn.

Leave a reviewWe had such a wonderful stay at Bothan Dubh. The communication with Suki and Tom from even prior to booking when I was looking for somewhere for my partner's birthday, was excellent (they also popped up a banner, and some prosecco in the cabin - even though I had only mentioned it was his birthday on the day of arrival). They were quick to respond to any questions I had. The cabin itself is so beautifully designed; cosy and very romantic. The slow pace of life we experienced during our stay made us reset our goals for our future home, as it was so incredible to wake up in the countryside, start the day with a coffee on the balcony whilst bird watching (we had a lot of birds visit!). We made home made pizzas from the Hiki oven which was a great experience, and tasted great! The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could possible need. The hot tub was great and we made use of it in all weathers, sunshine & torrential rain. The bed was so comfy and cosy, with the electric blinds being a great addition to be able control them from bed whilst we gradually wake up to the beautiful view of the countryside and the locals (the sheep!) Thanks so much for creating a wonderfully special space - we will definitely be back. It is worth every penny we spent on it.
