Cosy converted stable boasting a modern rustic interior and beautiful views of the lush Kent countryside.
Nestled amongst 10 acres of pretty farmland, Crabtree Farm is a cosy and modern retreat offering lovely views across the lush, green Kent countryside. This converted stable was completely redecorated and refurbished in 2020 and guests will be thrilled to spend time in this stylish, rustic property. Facing a pretty courtyard, with a wooden bench for moments of contemplation, this timber clad home has original terracotta roof-tiles and stable doors that have been ingeniously converted into windows. The abundant windows guarantee views of the beautiful environment, as well as letting in pools of natural light.
Guests enter through one of the original stable doors into the lovely open plan kitchen, dining and living area. This bright space has been thoughtfully decorated and furnished in a modern rustic style which embraces comfort and convenience. A large velvet sofa begs to be sunk into and large patio doors provide constant views throughout the daytime hours. At night, close the curtains and enjoy a movie on the flat screen smart TV that comes with Netflix.
The kitchen is a beautiful, handmade sage green, shaker-style affair. It is fully kitted out for cooks and even has a Nespresso machine, which is handy for a quick morning espresso. A cute circular dining table sits to the side and is a lovely spot to sit and enjoy lengthy breakfasts while planning the day's adventures. The owners have enhanced the property's original features, such as timber beams and stained glass windows, to maintain the integrity of the property, whilst the decor compliments the world outside. Expect greens, dusky pinks and warm greys, which have been used to create an atmosphere of calm and relaxation. The property also features a wide array of hand picked artwork and locally sourced pottery.
And where better to soak away the stresses of everyday life than in the luxurious bathroom with its deep green iridescent metro tiles, free standing bath tub, large walk-in shower and tumbling foliage of lush house plants. And when the fresh country air starts to inspire yawns, guests will love snuggling down to a deep and restorative night's sleep in the two beautiful bedrooms.
Crabtree Farm is wonderfully located and Kent, as the garden of England, will not disappoint foodies. Perhaps take a vineyard tour and try some of the region's award-winning sparkling wines. or head to The Pig Hotel for some homegrown delights and relaxed dining on the terrace. For those yearning for the traditional pub experience, visit The Five Bells for good ale, a great wine list and a fab gastro-pub menu.
