As you travel down leafy Cot Lane, a gravelled driveway leads up to a beautiful and historic Tudor property which sweeps round to present Weavers Rest. Here, you will be welcomed into a charming water's-edge barn beautifully converted in a modern Scandi style. Whether you are looking for a romantic escape from the world or a relaxing family holiday, this home will provide all the conveniences and comforts you will need for a perfect break.
The living space is bright and airy and the walls are hung with beautiful artworks by internationally renowned artist owner Jemimah Patterson and notable others. Light floods in through the floor-to-ceiling doors and the pale walls and rustic touches of timber add to the laid-back ambience. Just kick back on the sofas, sink your toes into the fluffy Beni Ourain rug and snuggle in front of the cosy bio-fuel wood burner for a total unwind. Settle down into the cosy book nook with plenty of local information and explore the bookcases for a perfect holiday read to lose yourself in. The sitting area can also convert to offer additional accommodation with two further sofa beds.
On the mezzanine level is where you’ll find a chic designer Christopher Farr upholstered king sized bed with crisp organic linen sheets and your choice of feathered or hypo-allergic pillows. The vibe is bright and relaxed with pale walls, wooden flooring and accents of blue and green. There is also a separate dressing area with plenty of storage space to hang clothes and stowaway luggage, so you can immediately relax & feel at home. For that extra touch of luxury, you can sink into the freestanding roll-top bath overlooking the mezzanine level and escape to the sound of water bubbling in the pond below.
The spacious downstairs bathroom oozes spa-appeal with its doubled-ended walk-in shower, luxury bath towels and complimentary toiletries to complete your top-class bathing experience.
The bespoke hardwood kitchen has all you need to be self-sufficient, including a dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and Nespresso coffee machine. Rustle up a tasty meal to enjoy on the deck outside.
The double-height sitting area is framed with bi-fold doors which open out onto beautiful views across the pond, brimming with water life. The splashing sound of the fountain, across the rippling water, allows you to sit back on the cantilever terrace and feed your senses. Nature is visible all around. Relax and take in the sunset over the water with a fabulous glass of wine from one of the area's renowned local vineyards. It's time to switch off the digital and re-wild at Weavers Rest. Or, if you fancy challenging a loved one to a game, Weavers Rest is also home to a brand new tennis court. This offers you the perfect way to get some exercise during your break.
Weavers Rest is set within the stunning rural countryside of Kent, on the estate of a beautiful 16th Century historic house on the edge of the village of Biddenden. From the doorstep, you can walk to gastropubs, a fine dining restaurant in the village and the local farm shop. There are plentiful country walks, Sissinghurst Castle and gardens and vineyards nearby.
You are only a 30-minute drive from the beautiful sandy beaches of Camber Sands and the stunning historic Cinque port town of Rye. Bedgebury Pinetum, numerous National Trust properties and Ashford designer shopping outlets are all under a 25-minute drive away.
